I think they could have handled the transformation better, but she has been painted as someone who is an opportunist. And she lost everything but the house and the tunnel in the will...reluctant or not...she is a survivor. And yeah, I am sure that doctors everywhere are bristling at their portrayal of Aspergers. The Starman turns alone threw me. If she were that bad she would either be institutionalized or medicated to the point that she would have no ability to hold a job. So disappointed in what this has turned into. Remember the initial episodes where they hinted at the machinations of Mexican law enforcement and had all the different threads running. Now it has devolved into a one note show with a ridiculous big bad. The season pretty much jumped the shark when Marco inexplicably jumped into bed with the widow. All subtlety and shade has been removed since then. Just one big convoluted conspiracy that EVERYONE has had a hand in.
FX Networks has locked the cast for its romantic comedy pilot You’re The Worst. Created and written by Stephen Falk, You’re The Worst centers on two toxic, self-destructive people who fall in love and attempt a relationship. Chris Geere (After Earth) stars as Jimmy, a completely self-absorbed, proudly outspoken, and utterly insensitive writer living in L.A. who is deeply unsettled when he finds himself developing feelings for a recent one night stand, Gretchen, a cynical and self-destructive beauty played by Aya Cash (The Newsroom). Kether Donohue (Pitch Perfect) will play Gretchen’s best friend Lindsay. The beta to Gretchen’s alpha, Lindsay is married and trying her hardest to be a proper adult-type lady. Desmin Borges (Mr. Popper’s Penguins) will play Edgar, Jimmy’s sweet and earnest childhood friend/roommate who is a war veteran suffering from PTSD and mild battlefield-induced psychosis.
That could've easily been the season finale right there..OK THE BRIDGE...I may not like how ya got there, but I like where ya went. Glad Daniel may still make it.

FX has ordered a second season of "The Bridge," the cop drama set on the El Paso/Juarez border starring Diane Kruger and Demi?n Bichir.
Even by FX's patient standards, this is a pretty late renewal, with only two of the first season's 13 episodes still to air. I've been reviewing the show all summer, and while I like a lot of the performances and the way the show has dealt with the world on the border, season 1 went off the rails the last few weeks with the denouement of its evil serial killer mastermind story arc.
That said, there is excellent raw material here, and the serial killer stuff was largely adapted from the original "Bron," and simply didn't translate here. I've seen tomorrow night's episode, which gets back to a lot of what the show was dealing with in its early episodes, and it's much stronger than any other recent installment. It fits with what producers Meredith Stiehm and Elwood Reid have said is the direction they want the show to go in, and if that's the case, I'm back on board.

Almost too on the nose. Very curious about whether this can be judged as it's own entity or if the movie is going to just taint it too much. 3 things have me optimistic...this, Billy Bob and Fx. Crosses Fingers.
I'm actually wondering if they can get away with a series in which everyone speaks with a heavy Dakota accent. Works great for a 2 hour movie, but can America stand it for longer?
I liked the Bridge a little more last night. Linder is so weird, yet now I find myself totally sympathizing with him..
Loved his facial expression when she said she dates girls..I liked the Bridge a little more last night. Linder is so weird, yet now I find myself totally sympathizing with him..
Yeah...definitely back on track. And as good as Mumbles is, I sooooooooooo like the story between Matthew Lillard and the girl reporter.
