After two episodes of American Horror Story: Coven, I think it's safe to say that I'm head over heels in love with it.
Kate Walsh and Oliver Platt are also joining Martin Freeman, Colin Hanks and Billy Bob Thornton in the adaptation of the Coen brothers’ 1996 pic.
Production on the 10-episode skein from MGM TV and FX Prods. is set to begin next month in Calgary, for a spring bow.
After two episodes of American Horror Story: Coven, I think it's safe to say that I'm head over heels in love with it.
Speaking with the LA Times, she revealed that she has a bucket list of sorts of projects she wants to do before hanging it up. "I am coming to the end of acting," she told the paper. "I have a list: another stage production, maybe one or two more movies, one more season of 'American Horror Story'... and then that is it for me. Because I think that's enough. I want to go out with a bang ... or should I say, a scare?"
But don't misinterpret that for a lack of appreciation for the cable show. "It reenergized me; it reenergized my career," she said of her role as Constance Langdon. "There's no shame in recognizing that. It's exposed me to a whole new generation, which is a little strange. I'm not used to young people thinking I'm cool."
"It brought back the thrill of acting," she continued. "It was the perfect storm. It's all the tired stuff everybody says — age working against you, films that made your career not being made anymore. But also, I really needed a distraction in my life; I was still getting used to the idea of my kids leaving the nest. I thought it was a good time to go out on a limb because horror is not my thing."
* Season 5 of "Justified" will premiere on Tuesday, January 7 at 10 p.m. Usual night, usual window; the most notable aspect of the release is that Jere Burns now appears to be part of the regular cast as Wynn Duffy, which only increases the odds of an eventual "Wynn-ebago" web series.
* "The Americans," which premiered at the very end of January this year (and whose premiere date was announced separately from "Justified" and the other shows), will premiere sometime in February, presumably again on Wednesdays at 10.
* "Archer" season 5 will debut on Mondays at 10 starting January 13. When some of FX's other Thursday comedies moved to FXX, they shifted to Wednesdays to get away from Thursday NFL games, but that's not an issue in winter.
* "Chozen," an animated comedy about a gay white rapper fresh out of prison ? from a production team that combines the creators of "Eastbound & Down" and "Archer" ? will debut on Monday the 13th, after "Archer." The idea is to use an established hit ? and an animated one, at that ? to launch the new series, rather than pair it with a lower-profile, less-compatible performer on FXX. But the fact that it's still unclear which show belongs on what channel is not that great for the idea of establishing an identity for FXX.
* "Legit," the low-key sitcom starring Australian comic Jim Jefferies, will premiere its second season on FXX sometime in February. It will now be paired with "Ali G: Rezurection," a repackaging of "Da Ali G Show" featuring new introductions by Sacha Baron Cohen.
Justified, Archer, Chozen part of FX winter schedule
Wait, Archer on Mondays??? Ok. And yeah, it would seem that FXX is having a rough start...Sunny/The League seem sort of irrelevant, and that talk show dude has lost significant ground. Might be because, besides repeats, that is all that is on there. One hour of new programming a week and a nightly talk show. I guess they want to protect Chozen, although their animation record - Archer is a little iffy. Hope they aren't hanging Legit out to die.
"I have approached them and they wanna do it,” says Murphy. "That’s very exciting when you can work with A.) actresses you’ve always idolized and B.) those two are loving this season. They love what they get to do. Kathy Bates sent the writers a basket of plush toys all in the shapes of disemboweled organs. It doesn’t get better than when an Oscar winner sends you a grab bag of stuffed pancreas to say ‘Thank you and job well done'.”

Kathy Bates and Angela Bassett Returning for Season 4 of American Horror Story? - Dread Central
It's a real good season so far. After a so-so first season they really seem th have this show running full tilt off-the-rails. Best work that Lange has ever done(i.m.o.)
My big gripe is that they dont show reruns of Justified or SOA for me to get caught up.
I do honestly wonder why they don't do more repeats of older episodes. I would love to be channel surfing and notice some Justified Season 2 going on.
In other news, the Lady and I are about 10 epsiodes into the first season of SOA. Enjoying it muchly.
