All Things:Fx

Interesting start to the Bridge. Sonia being inappropriate and weird takes a minute to get back into, but Bechir is a good anchor opposite. And Lillard is just terrific. Especially the anti-Rush stuff. Bout time someone said it. The new big bad looks...interesting. Maybe a little showy. Glad it's back.

My first thought - holy crap Kubiak from Parker Lewis Can't Lose got OLD!

Liked the first episode a lot. At least there seems to be some sort of structure to the storyline. That scene with Kruger and the killers brother though....damn they can show that on basic cable?

So funny I thought the same thing. My friend used to run into him at My Life With the Thrill Kill Cult shows and stuff like that.

Also thoroughly enjoyed the first episode.

Has anyone watched the original series? Was it only one season? My main gripe with the first season was the way the kidnapped girls thing kind of fell by the wayside to make room for Marco's arch-nemesis being the bad guy, but it occurred to me last night while watching that that might have been the storyline from the original show? And it looks like this season we'll actually get into some of the deeper stuff. Hopefully.

I always thought Diane Kruger was a little too skinny for my taste, but Dat Ass.

Apparently showrunner was unhappy with having to mirror original. Yeah...I think, one season. So this is free for all. I wonder if Annebeth Gish will be part. Still LOVING Buffalo Bill and Shaggy.

SPOILERS

I went into the strain not knowing much. I thought it was an Outbreak style show about containing a virus. Little did I know it was about some super vampire giving super aids to a lot of humans.

I mean the airport guy getting his head smashed in (5 or 6 times) was pretty sweet on tv and all....but now I'm like...uh....huh?

It WOULD have been cool.... if I had any kind of prep that I was about to watch that kind of gore. And the three hours of boring "I'm an epidimiologist!" dialog and stupid stilted interaction with estranged wives and testy jurisdiction jealous lawmen did NOT prepare me to suddenly see a guys skull violently smashed into tiny pieces.

No sir. This was bad television.

BAD I SAY!

Yep.

Yep.

and, yep.

Oh man you guys are so way off. I just watched this and FIRST of all, that was no ordinary man that get drained and skullpunched, that was Andrew Divoff. So that was cool. And yes, there was a lot of exposition and character introduction...all very important to the story. And presenting it as a disease is ALSO incredibly important to the story. Ya see I read the books, so I know where they are going. And they did a terrific job. Those of you reading these opinions, if you aren't as 'reactionary' as the Doctor...stick with it. There is a lot to like here. Don't jump off yet. It's gonna get a lot more violent before too long.
