The animated moments from this ep were really keen. Oh, and speaking of Sci-Fi, I love those covers from pulpy 70's Sci-fi books.

A Bad Night On ‘The Americans’ Leads To A Big Decision For Elizabeth
http://uproxx.com/sepinwall/the-americans-dyatkovo-recap-review/

It’s a strong scene in a season that’s had plenty of strong scenes without really cohering into something grander. We’re at a crossroads now, though. The show has done some muted finales in the past, and had license to do so because the seasons leading up to them were filled with so much physical and emotional violence. This season’s been so understated, though, that if the final two episodes are along the same lines, it will feel like we’ve spent an entire year on set-up. And, as I’ve said, I still have absolute faith in Fields and Weisberg to bring this story home in suitably devastating fashion; it’s just a shame things had to drag along for a bit to get there.

This is so spot on. It hasn't been a bad season, just has felt a little aimless. So now, heading into the last 2 before the final season...I am very very nervous abotu what is going to happen. All things seem to have been leading to something, and I don't think it's going to be pleasant. The end of the episode was stunning. Literally gave me chills. This really is such a great show.

All The ‘Fargo’ Season 3 Homages To The Coen Brothers’ Film

I really do hope it's not the last Fargo we will get.

Yeah, we saw the nods to the original movie as well. Does that mean they're out of ideas???? They got nothing else?

They left way too many unanswered questions over the last 3 - 4 episodes

Were they trying to be edgy? Well, it came off as lazy, and if they were trying be artsy, they missed the mark badly.

The movie at least had an ending.

While your opinion is totally valid, I enjoyed the ambiguity of the ending. I thought most of the storylines got wrapped up pretty definitively. It's that last one between Burgle and Varga. Your enjoyment or disappointment on that is kinda a personal test. Optimist, Pessimist. I guess I just rolled with it differently.

Yeah, I totally dug the ambiguity of the ending myself. And I don't necessarily need all story lines to be wrapped up. Although I'm still kinda waiting for that Russian dude on The Sopranos to turn up...

The season was a bit uneven, but I thought the last few episodes were real strong. I definitely hope for Season 4.

‘The Strain’ Season 4 Review: Going out with a Bang
http://collider.com/the-strain-season-4-review/#images

This is what it’s like to see The Strain firing on all cylinders, finally. In the past, The Strain‘s action has often felt circuitous, a series of false beats that ultimately led back to the same place. The search for the Lumen, Eph’s fight for his family, repeat repeat repeat, without a narrative forward momentum that allowed the characters or the world to grow in interesting ways. After two seasons of hurry up and wait, the final episodes of Season 3 blasted out a path for progress, and Season 4 follows through on that promise. For the first time since the series’ strong start in 2014, The Strain delivers propulsive drama and world building. In the final season, the talented cast, the gorgeous effects, and the singular cinematographic aesthetic are matched bold narrative moves and satisfying character beats. The pieces have clicked together at last, and it’s bittersweet to finally watch the show live up to its potential, just before it comes to a close.

★★★★ Very good — Damn fine television
