All Things:HBO/CINEMAX

Boy, Silicon Valley last night turned into NatGeo PronHub for 3 minutes.

No lie...came home from Disneyland last night, turned on tv...and because Game of Thrones was DVR'ing earlier with something else my tuner was set to HBO. And of course, the second I turned the tv on coincided perfectly with that incident. I could not look away.

I bet. I hope you peeps didn't get too excited over this and got closer to see the action.

Seriously...there was ZERO magnification required. Not exactly what I bought a 4k ultraHD tv for...but there is no denying the clarity.

BANSHEE 2013-2016

Well, time to leave lovely and dangerous Banshee, PA. At times more guilty than pleasure, including an uneven final season. But when it clicked, especially in season 3, there was no show more gloriously violent and over the top. Good bunch of characters who I will miss a lot, and revisit eventually. Luckily, the end really kind of set up a potential return...so in some minds it will live on forever.
Thank you Banshee. You will be missed.

This last season has been kind of meh, at least for me (and I'm half done). It's probably just time to move onto something else and it was impossible to top a 3rd season that had a number of epic moments. I'm planning to binge the final episodes this weekend.

The last episode does it up nicely with a bow. Heard Tropper on Howard Stern Wrap Up basically saying their budget got slashed. So, lucky to get a close out because I think Cinemax was calling it closing time.
Last season would have been tough to top with status quo, much less a reduction.

Ok...OUTCAST was a pretty good start. Directed and produced by Adam Wingard(V/H/S, You're Next, The Guest) written by Robert Kirkman, but don't hold that against it. No, really...despite the exorcism tropes and some iffy cgi this was a tidy little pilot. Whether the body of season one holds up remains to be seen. But I'm on board and want to see more.

This looks good too...

maybe it can fill the Banshee hole. Nice 70's look is always gonna make me look.

anyone else looking forward to this?

Not in the slightest.

But then, I wasn't at all interested in "True Detective" or whatever the long, slow, boring murder mystery thing is/was on Showtime about people being depressed in Montauk or whatever.
