All Things:HBO/CINEMAX

Kitsch is game if nothing else. From Jon Carter, to Savages, to playing a gay man in that Normal Heart flick(which I haven't seen), he appears to at least be trying to advance his career based on his ability as much as his looks. With Farrell anchoring(who probably could teach him a thing or two about trying to get by on looks) I would be satisfied with the combo.

I could do without all of the Bill flashbacks to set up his eventual redemption or whatever before he dies, but overall I actually enjoyed this episode. although, did Bill get Hep V from Sookie? wtf?

and Eric in a Stetson will never not be funny.

The last two episodes have been pretty okay. Is it coincidence that JD hasn't watched the last two? Perhaps.

The Leftovers may have lost me. Although I really enjoyed the Black Keys in the opening scene, I started dozing off here and there. The previews for next weeks episode make it seem like we might have something worth watching. So, we'll see.

Oh hell Eck I just watched the last 2 Leftovers. Sweet tapdancing HayzoosChristo. Ok I know I am prone to waxing, but damned if this isn't the bleakest, saddest most beautifully depressing show ever made. With so much impotent rage. I will gladly admit this is not a show that should have mass success. It's a hard and very rewarding watch. I almost have no words. Just amazing in my opinion.

Yet another not-sucky episode of True Blood. I was falling asleep here and there because I spent the day at Raging Waters. So I'll rewatch it tonight. Just to make sure what I saw was actually good.

I didn't get to watch The Leftovers or Last Week Tonight last night. So I'll watch those tonight.

I'm actually enjoying this season of True Blood so far, much to my surprise. The Tara storyline is pretty much the worst thing ever, but besides that it's been pretty entertaining. Pam and Eric are saving it for me (as always.)

Foo Fighters Set Premiere for HBO 'Sonic Highways' Series

The band set out with the idea of visiting some of America’s most richest musical scenes, recording songs in each of the cities and recording the whole process for posterity. “I’ve pulled up the family tree of American music and explored its roots to find inspiration for the next Foo Fighters album,” explained Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl in announcing the project.
Along the way, the group met up with some of the artists closely associated with the cities they were visiting. For instance, Cheap Trick guitarist joined the band in Chicago, while Gary Clark Jr. lent some licks during their stop in Austin, Texas. Zac Brown, Joe Walsh and Trombone Shorty and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band were also among the guests during the band’s stops. In addition to Chicago and Austin, the band also made stops in Nashville, Los Angeles, New Orleans, New York, Seattle and Washington, D.C

Vince Vaughn True Detective: 'Swingers' Star Circling HBO Hit

Before you start wrinkling your nose...check out Vaughn in something like Clay Pigeons. He can do nice guy/menacing guy pretty damned good. Sure, he has been mailing it in for years, but he is capable of more.

And Leftovers...how damned fine is that show. Not for everyone...but definitely for me.

Ugh...I'm two episodes behind now on The Leftovers, and I've got 3 left on True Detective. I'm hoping to find time to wrap them up before the Fall TV season begins.
