Some really good nuggets of back story tonight. Still not sure where it is going but damn!
 
I just got caught up. Hot damn this show has me all goose pimples. I want to know everything...but I don't at the same time. The tease/discovery is amazing so far. Does anyone know if the original book by Michael Crichton is like this? Cause I know the movie wasn't. I was so glad to see Lawrence resurrected as El Lazo...because Clifton Collins is too good to not have on the show. But, El Lazo was mentioned BEFORE the MiB killed Lawrence? Or was he...reading theories...

Not sure I buy that, but I'm not ruling it out.

I know that I SERIOUSLY am digging this.
 
I think they want you to believe it, which means it's also probably true. But then it probably also isn't. EVERYBODY IS A HOST, EVERYONE IS A GUEST. Bring back the Elon Musk ex.
 
The overall melancholy of the show really suits it. Sometimes, in the town settings, it gets a little 'light' and the seams start to show. But then they get heavy again and it just works so damned well. Hats off to HBO for letting the writers shut it down for a few months to 'get it right'. I seriously do not want this season to end.
 
It is an incredibly interesting concept and really took a concept movie of the '70's I loved to the next level. This whole idea of AI self awakening is very deep and really opens some things up. Glad too they took time off to figure it out right. I watched an interview with Evan Rachel Woods and apparently things are going to ratchet up even further the remainder of the season. She noted that the reveals at the end of this season are going to blow people's minds because they blew the cast away. Pariah was really eye opening to me. It's like a video game - like MIB says - that just continues to get deeper and deeper. And the scenes of MIB and Teddy in Union uniforms is coming and I am very interested to see how they fit into that story line. I think that will clear some of these alternate timeline theories.

And yes Collins is an amazing character actor. Just watched some of his work in season 1 of Ballers. Great character and love him as El Lazo/Lawrence. Anyone else notice that after he and William sat down in the rail car that when Dolores looked back at them they had disappeared ...? Really wondering where all these lapses are going with her are going. I think I have to go back and watch the first 5 epis again.

Great frigging episode of Westworld tonight. Nothing more than some corporate espionage although I am sure that Ford has some tricks up his sleeve. Hope you all saw the shoutout to the movie when Bernard went to level B! And anyone else notice the "father" was the same guy that Ford showed Bernard in the framed picture a couple episodes ago?! Arnold ... ha!
 
Well, I mean that's probably why Bernard asked if he was Arnold ;) Maeve is gonna wreck this ****.

Regarding Maeve ... doesn't it just feel like she will be on the brink of wrecking it all only to be reprogrammed? So many interesting story lines last night that just opened up to a WHOLE bunch more story lines. The show is so darn good but I am not sure where they are going with all the lines!
