All Things:HBO/CINEMAX

Why is watching Westworld such a chore? It took me 2 and a 1/2 weeks to watch the shogun episode from 3 weeks ago. There is just no focus. A bunch of random threads that do not seem to be interested in a larger story.

Or is it just me?
It's not just you

Agreed. Season 2 is a total chore. I'm still trying to get through it all, i just finished episode 3. I keep falling asleep and waking up to Bernard/Arnold/dude with the glasses having a tough time about something. What? I have no idea.

I just want more of Hector being a bad, bad man. Sup, bb.

thanks for the visual timeline. i understood most of it except for what's been going on this season with bernard. i thought where this past sunday's episode ended was taking us back to where we found him in episode 1, looking at the sea of dead hosts, but wasn't sure. it is definitely a chore. it doesn't help that i've been watching it at the end of the day sunday when i'm tired and had a few drinks already. i don't really have the attention span for this show. maybe someday i'll rewatch it to connect all the dots better.

I love the structure of this show. I don't think it's random at all.

Now I'm curious about the reactions of people who are watching season 2, but did not watch season 1.

I am caught up. The last 2 episodes still have me perplexed. BUT!!!!! I am finally engaged. I don't mind the tease, but it has to be compelling. And it just hasn't. With the re-introduction of ________ it has become even more wild...but at least it has purpose. Have the feeling that next week's episode is going to be a singular topic, with very vague connections to the story. I expect this is all gonna pay out, which is why I am still watching.

Hey, I either am too impaired, or I found something. Watch the camera work on the shots that involve Bernard and Ford. There are a lot of shots that look like composites, or there is one character who's back is turned or head obscured. Might just have been because you know Sir Anthony gotta go...so they shot separately? Might just have been the gumdrops(you believe that? gumdrops!!!!).

Logan created the Man in Black. Logan woke up Akecheta. Logan caused chaos.

There’s just something about Westworld that stays with me every time. No other show I can think of that does this.
