All Things HORROR

The original was good, haven't heard the same buzz surrounding the sequels. I think it's kinda like 28Days/Weeks, where it's new creative teams.

Dark Sky Films Greenlights HATCHET 3

Additionally, the report makes it seem as if there is a solid chance that Green won?t be helming the picture, citing his ?trepidation about the possibility of handing the franchise to another filmmaker.?

Think that is a typo. Hell, of course they will make another one. The dvd/bluray sales alone probably justify that.

Liv Tyler Talks THE STRANGERS 2 and THE HOBBIT

As some of you are aware, the first Strangers was made for under $10 million and it went on to make over $80 million at the worldwide box office. With that kind of success, it?s no surprise that Rogue Pictures has been talking about making a sequel. Early reports pegged Liv Tyler returning and that filming could begin this year. However, Tyler told me, ?I don?t know anything about?they?ve been talking about it forever and I know there is a screenplay that Bryan Bertino wrote which I?ve read part of but not the whole?I don?t know if it?s ever going to happen. Bryan is not directing it and I?m not really in it. I?d have to decide, but it?s not about me.?

Fairly surprised a second film hasn't been made, especially looking at those numbers. I think the first is a really successful flick. Just the right amount of slow creepy combined with a really nice '70's grainy faded out style. From what I know about giallo this would certainly qualify. Kinda reminds me of 'The Collector'. The best part of both flicks is that the motivations of the evil are never completely explained. Collector has a sequel coming, and my worst fear is that they will over-explain the villain. Sometimes it's ok to not know everything.

THE REVENANT!!!!!!!

Indie Horror Month: Exclusive - Director D. Kerry Prior Talks The Revenant | Horror Movie, DVD, & Book Reviews, News, Interviews at Dread Central

Revenant, The (2009) | Horror Movie, DVD, & Book Reviews, News, Interviews at Dread Central

This was a ScreamfestLA flick that I dragged Kq to on a hunch that it was worth seeing. She constantly asks me...'WTF happened to this flick?' If you guys have been following along for a while this was the flick that featured a disembodied head given voice by....ummmm, well, a battery operated female pleasure device. That was 3 years ago. This movie illustrates what is wrong with the whole system. The director has been waiting for someone to throw cash at him...and he is now finally realizing that a movie like this may have to be sacrificed to get word of mouth. It would seem that this is finally close to getting a release, and I cannot scream from the rooftops loud enough.

Francis Ford Coppola and Roger Corman? Plenty of "nudity and gore"?

Tell me it's worth buying. PLEASE.

Yeah,I have seen Dementia 13, like, a million times, lol!

I dunno. I do have bad taste, but for some reason that film just really gets me. There is this scene where this couple is in a boat and, well, um, yeah. I will go as far to say that's one of the greatest scenes in horror film history.

Yeah, it's at least worth a rental.
