Thought about this earlier and maybe it's my lapsed Catholocism but I guess the reason I have always been disappointed with the Hellraiser series is that the stakes are so much higher. C'mon...ETERNAL TORMENT!!!! F13, TCM, SAW etc...regardless of the torture, your body/mind will check out eventually, but ETERNAL TORMENT. It's like those bad religious cartoon pamphlets you used to find back in the day that always ended with the protagonist trying to claw his way out of a descent to Hell while lamenting 'if I had only accepted Jesus as my saviour!!!!!' The Hellraiser movies have never successfully conveyed that, in my opinion. I have said this time and again, but if you want what may be the best Hellraiser flick that ain't a Hellraiser flick...EVENT mf'ing HORIZON. There was a movie where you really felt the characters SOULS were in dire peril. I guess I have really high expectations for a Hellraiser flick.
 
I like the first two Hellraiser movies despite the fact that there are far from perfect. And I have seen way too many of the sequels. :facepalm:

I disagree with the NOES thing. I liked having a silly sadistic movie icon like Freddy while growing up instead of getting Michael Myers clones all the time.

Dunno? What are the horror film franchises that have been improved with sequels? The only one that I can think of is the Living Dead series.
 
Tom Six Reveals Plans For The Human Centipede 3 And The Onania Club Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors

Tom Six has recently completed his panel at Big Screen and retired to the press room. I managed to fire a couple of questions at him, regarding his future plans, and he was more than happy to share.

Next up will be the third and final part of his Human Centipede series. That will shoot early next year, in the US, and will feature an all US cast and be produced by a US crew. If Six gets his way the lead character is to be played by “a Hollywood star.”

And then, more Stateside fun as Six is heading into LA to film The Onania Club. Onania, if you don’t know, is an addiction masturbation, so it could be a big club.

Six described the film as a “psychological horror” to me but absolutely refused to reveal any more details. I guess we’ll have to wait for the BBFC to spoil it like they did with Centipede 2.

The next we’ll see of that Human Centipede is when a full trailer for the film is released by its US distributors in the coming weeks.

Six is at it again. In a recent interview with Empire Online, Tom Six took a few moments to let fans know what to expect from The Human Centipede 3: Final Sequence once it's made.

[Human Centipede 3 is going to] "make the last one look like a Disney film," he tells Empire. "We're going to shoot the third film entirely in America, and it's going to be my favourite...It’s going to upset a lot of people."

Six also confirmed that part three would be the last of his Centi-series. Stay tuned for more!

The Wicker Tree tells the story of singer Beth (newcomer Brittania Nicol) and her cowboy friend Steve (Henry Garrett, ?The Bill,? ?Skins?), two virginal Texans who come to Scotland to spread the gospel. These two innocents don?t know what they?re getting into as they find themselves trying to spread their chastity message at the estate owned by Sir Lachlan Morrison (Graham McTavish, Rambo, the upcoming The Hobbit films), who has revived ancient local religious practices when an accident at the nuclear power plant he runs rendered the area men infertile. The Wicker Tree was produced by Peter Snell and Peter Watson-Wood and executive produced by Alistair Gourlay.

Lee, who played the mysterious Lord Summerisle in the original (in a career that includes Count Dracula and the Frankenstein monster in the classic Hammer films, Count Dooku in Star Wars Episodes II & III, and Saruman in the Lord of the Rings trilogy as well as the upcoming pair of films based on The Hobbit), returns again in a dramatic cameo as the ?Old Man.? Rounding out the cast are Jacqueline Leonard (?Holby City,? ?The Bill?) as Lady Delila Morrison, Clive Russell (Sherlock Holmes, The 13th Warrior) as Beame and Honeysuckle Weeks (?Foyle?s War? and numerous other UK TV projects) as Lolly.

One of the most common complaints about the movie industry is that the majority of the films getting released contain not a shred of originality and feel more like assembly line products than anything approaching entertainment that a person with an I.Q. larger than double digits can enjoy without feeling the need to injure the nearest house pet. Every year Hollywood talent agencies compile a ?Blacklist? of the best screenplays making the rounds at studios and not getting made, and on occasion some of those scripts manage to make it to the big screen. Entire books have been written about great scripts that sat on the shelf for years for various reasons that defy all manner of logical thought.

Yet despite all this it is still possible for a movie about a killer car to be made, and for that movie to be called Super Hybrid. And because it is possible, it has happened; a movie called Super Hybrid has been made.

That's pretty goddam uninspired...even for a second sequel. Any guesses as to which movie they decided to fuse with the Hostel storyline? Hangover? Very Bad Things?
 
I guess if you are just making an uninspired ripoff sequel you might as well fold in a all expenses paid working vacation to Vegas. Two birds...one stone...done!
