Does the Collider staff actually watch horror movies?

At least two glaring omissions that should be top 10, even top 5.

Still, like most lists, there are some titles there that I will definitely take as suggestions of things to watch.

You know...it's funny, I looked at that list and thought with 50 being the target it's inexcusable to miss Sun Choke. Honeymoon is HORRIBLY overrated by SO MANY sites. Yes, the acting is a notch above what you expect in a horror flick, but it holds NO secrets. And the rankings are bogus too. First off, It Follows shouldn't even be on the list. Same for V/H/S 2 and Innkeepers. But it is what it is. I really just put it up there as a checklist for folks like me and you, to check out stuff that might have snuck by. I have a couple that didn't make the list too. And can we just say it...Get Out is a very good movie for a first time director...but to have it in the top ten seems a little...pander-y. Can guarantee you I can find 10 better horror flicks on that list, maybe not as socially conscious but BETTER MOVIES.

The Sacrament should be higher, The Invitation too. I haven't seen Get Out yet but putting it in the top 10 feels like the writer just watched it yesterday before making his list. Nice inclusion of Cheap Thrills also. Netflix put it under comedy but it is straight up horror. Also if What We Do in the Shadows is on the list, then Digging up the Marrow should be as well. Speaking of Adam Green... Hatchet II? Frozen?

If a "best of" list puts even a few choices in front of me that are unknowns to me I'm pleased and this one certainly does so. I won't even get into the ones that I didn't care much for (and there are plenty).

Like I said...posted it for us to go,
"Did that...did that...oooooooh, amazonprimehereicome"

Btw...Neither Starry Eyes or American Mary are on that list, are they?

Oh yeah, two more good ones! I thought I put Starry Eyes on my list but guess I forgot. American Mary is great too. I was pissed when Netflix took it off cause it was one of my go to's. Now Everly is my go to flick.

Leatherface': ‘Texas Chainsaw’ Prequel Finally Gets a Release Date and Brutal First-Look Images
http://collider.com/leatherface-released-date-texas-chainsaw-massacre-prequel/

It’s been quite the wait, but the Texas Chainsaw Massacre prequel is finally upon us. Leatherface comes from Inside and Livide directors Julien Maury and Alexandre Bustillo and shows us the origins of the iconic horror character through the story of four escaped mental inmates. Jessica Madsen, Sam Coleman, Sam Strike, and James Bloor star as the escapees, who kidnap a young nurse (Vanessa Grasse) and take her on a brutal, bloody road trip. Chasing them down is a pair of cops played by Finn Jones and Stephen Dorff as Hal Hartman, a deranged Texas Ranger on a mission of revenge against the teenager who becomes Leatherface. The Conjuring‘s Lili Taylor also stars as the cannibalistic matriarch, Verna Sawyer.

Probly ****, but the directors have done good stuff. The Directv premier and vod rollout are troubling though.

‘Jigsaw’ Debuts First Image; Directors Tease Less Vicious, “More Fun” Spin on ‘Saw’

I'm kinda glad...KQ and I stumbled across parts 5 and 6 the other day on cable and those flicks do seem really mean and ugly now. Not that I want a Disney Saw flick, but I don't want to have to take a hot shower with a brillo after either.
