is it june 8 yet???

Thanks for the link boys, I got to take a picture on top of the Staircar yesterday in Venice Beach. Lol, I was a hop on! Highlight: a tourist on a Segway (could not make this up) unintentionally photo bombed my selfie. Perfection. Dork factor: 1,00000. They also handed out buttons that said: Make America Bluth Again, I'm with Bluth and an orange bumper sticker that says: Family of the Year.

*smile* Had a good time.

Q's Netflix picks of the week:

Frank and Cindy, both versions.

Frank and Cindy 2007 is a straight up documentary. GJ is a kid who at 14 tested his way out of high school and got into film school. When he moved back home, he started filming his parents' living situation. There's his stepdad Frank, a former 80s one hit wonder star and his mother Cindy, who has been supporting him ever since. This is one of those trainwreck situations where you just can't stop watching these people. Frank has been living in the basement where Cindy basically turned it into a music studio for him, hoping he'll make another hit. Instead he drinks and they fight.

Well someone liked it so much that GJ was asked to make a film version of this story with real actors. In the 2015 film, Frank and Cindy are now played by Oliver Platt and Rene Russo. Johnny Simmons plays GJ and we get more of his own story this time. In the doc he's mostly observing the parents.

I prefer the documentary version, but they're both super interesting. The movie had details that probably got cut out of the doc because of whatever constraints. Because of that I think it's worth watching both.
