All Things:NETFLIX

Just finished the two seasons of Mindhunter. Incredible show and well written. Just don't watch this with your kids in the room.

Holy crap, Peaky Blinders Season 5 dropped last night. I had no idea!! And, God bless Netflix, they release a nice recap of Seasons 1-4. Should do it for all their shows...

Just finished the I-Land. Pretty good if you want Lost with worse acting and a mystery that is more or less revealed by episode 3. Still, I embarrassingly enjoyed it. At 7 episodes super easy to get through.

"The End of the F***ing World" is coming back for Season 2 on Nov. 5 on Netflix.

I'm hopeful, but skeptical. It was perfect as it was, with one season.

Oof. That's going to be a tough one to duplicate but the Brits kind of bring it when it comes to limited series. I'll wait for the all clear from the masses before i re-invest. It took me forever to realize that one of the detectives was "Yara Greyjoy", sigh, it was a happier time.

Good season, albeit a bit predictable. The music was forceful in this one. And cliffhanger ending....nooooo

Q's Netflix rec of the week:
The Autopsy of Jane Doe
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3289956/

This popped up in my twitter feed yesterday and looked creepy as hell so I decided to give it a shot when I got home. The body of a presumably twenty something year old girl is taken to the coroners (Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch) and opening her up is like putting together a dark mystery. They find her ankles and wrists shattered and her tongue cut out making them think she was part of some sex trafficking scheme. The deeper they get into the body, the creepier it gets. They describe this case like finding a bullet in the brain, but no gunshot wound. And of course what would a coroner film be without a "power going out" scene? Yeah, f that... So if you need a break from Tall Girl or the Breaking Bad movie, check this out for the Halloween spirit.

Man, the acting is bad.

I'm about 3 episodes into season 2 and.... much to my surprise, it is still pretty damn good. Still awkward, and weird, and quirky and sweet. Maybe it's just that my expectations were low. But so far, I love it. Again.

Thanks for the reminder. I gotta start this and Atypical once I get through Jack Ryan season 2.

Aytpical - darn if this isn't such a cute, fun show. Every character is relatable, there are laughs, tears and gay penguins. It's just a good time.

I can't really watch Michael Rappaport as a normal down to earth dad without thinking of him swearing at Brent/Gary on Stern, but he does a pretty good job.
