Netflix, the world’s leading internet TV network, has ordered “Montauk,” a new supernatural drama series written and directed by Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer (“Wayward Pines,” Hidden). Eight one-hour long episodes of the series will premiere exclusively across all Netflix territories in 2016.

In the series, set in 1980 Montauk, Long Island, a young boy vanishes into thin air. As friends, family, and local police search for answers, they are drawn into an extraordinary mystery involving top secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces, and one very strange little girl. “Montauk” is a love letter to the 80s classics that captivated a generation.

“Matt and Ross are emerging filmmakers with an unmistakable passion for genre and suspense. Their unique voice infuses this coming of age drama with supernatural thrills that will captivate our global audience,” said Cindy Holland, vice president of original content for Netflix.

The Duffer Brothers, who recently directed their first feature film, Hidden, for Warner Bros., are writing and directing the series and will serve as executive producers along with Shawn Levy and Dan Cohen via their 21 Laps entertainment banner (The Spectacular Now, Night at the Museum, Real Steel, Date Night). “Montauk” is a Netflix production.

Watched the first ep of DD and thought it was good. Really liked the fight scenes and the call backs to previous Marvel movies

I got through the first two and was VERY happy. Happy to the point I'm slightly annoyed that i didn't have time to watch more of them.

The hallway fight scene in ep 2 was very cool. Shades of Oldboy. :)

I watched all of ol' hornhead. I even went back and watched the Hulk TV movie with DD in it (okay, no I didn't). I thought it was a sloppy at times, which was mainly annoying because what it got right, which was most of it, was just plain excellent.

I've enjoyed the first ep of DD so far, but I also liked the Affleck Daredevil so I might not be the best judge. mhihi:

I only have two episodes of Daredevil left, and I don't want it to end :( :( :(

SO GOOD.
