I liked it. Not the best show I've ever seen, but it definitely has a poor man's Breaking Bad feel to it, and I don't say that as a put down. Bateman's pretty good, Laura Linney is always terrific and there are some nice performances all around.

While I am a wrestling fan and did watch GLOW back in the day, that aside I'm really liking this show. It's funnier than I expected but has a real sense of heart. And plenty of 80s nostalgia (and music)
 
Last Chance U was probably the last show I expected to binge. Damn, that was a crazy first season.

True, Dex. In the last year, I've watched season one easily four times. I don't know anything about football, nor do I like it but I loved that documentary (maybe the best sports documentary ever-bold statement but it feels accurate). For the life of me could not figure out why it rang so true.

At first I just thought it was a base instinct thing, fit guys being athletic but that's everywhere in the media so then I thought it was the science fiction of a small isolated southern town with 700 people and one road; a modern day Capote story, if you will. Now, I'm convinced: it's the score. I want that director to score my life. Anyway, amazing doc, tons of heart & love it.

The love that Brittany Wagner had for her students was so touching and complete contrast to Buddy. The assistant coach was also great.

Take Me - Dark comedy starring AND directed by the great Pat Healy. That should be enough to sell it.

The Devil's Candy - Metal haunted house flick starring Ethan Embrey, hella fine Shiri Appleby and the always great Pruitt Taylor Vince. Typical story of the struggling artist who finds inspiration in the dark forces of this house, one way or another... Soundtrack had me headbanging throughout the whole flick.

Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later - It's fine. Could've done without it but at least it feels like The State hasn't completely died yet.

I thought it was real up until, "Ball hairs.", lol. They did a great job of making it look serious. I saw this Tuesday night and then yesterday morning someone drew a dick in the dust on the back window of my car. I had to stop in my tracks, laugh, and wonder if anyone knew I had watched that trailer. No one knew. It was drawn right above one of my Kings stickers, so my husband thinks it was a Shark's or Duck's troll. A troll with epic timing.:24smile:
