That's the good news...

‘Stranger Things’ Is Getting A Third Season And Maybe Even A Fourth

In an interview with Vulture, Ross Duffer explained the in and out approach to their hit show: “We’re thinking it will be a four-season thing and then out.” While Matt Duffer added: “We just have to keep adjusting the story, though I don’t know if we can justify something bad happening to them once a year.”

“They’re going to have to get the ***** out of this town! It’s ridiculous!” Ross said.

Unless, the whole story is about this madness happening in their small town in a short period of time, which would make some sense narratively, but I’m no Duffer bro.

Now if you’re already mourning the departure of Mike, Lucas, Dustin and Will (and Eleven) because the rascals only get four seasons, fear not: they’ll inevitably get back together for a ten-year reunion because Netflix loves reunions. Maybe they can meet back up in the Upside Down around nine thirty. Or maybe they can just say nine that way they can be there by nine thirty.

My Netflix pick of the week: Friends From College with Keegan-Michael Key, Cobie Smulders and Fred flippin Savage. The show follows a group of friends that have been together since college (hence title) and it just seems like they hit Murphy's Law in every situation possible. It's kind of like the show Love, but with a bigger group and without the gentrification of LA subtext.

I stopped death note halfway through. Very tough. The only thing potentially bringing me back is that hiro from heroes is in it

Finished Marvel Defenders and really enjoyed it. No problems getting through any episodes unlike Iron Fist. Need to now go back and watch Daredevil and Luke Cage.

Any thoughts on Jessica Jones? Started one episode quite awhile ago but never went back.

I have yet to watch Defenders, but Jessica Jones so far is not just my favorite of the Netflix series, but one of my favorite Marvel cinematic properties in general. OTOH, one of my friends watched a few of the episodes and was annoyed by the character, so stopped watching.

Based solely on our two reactions, I'd recommend it as something at least worth investigating.

‘BoJack Horseman’ Season 4 Trailer Goes in Search of Its Title Character

After repeated attempts I am finally getting into Rick and Morty, might be time to give this another spin.

It took me a few episodes to get into Bojack. I was scratching my head after the first few, trying to figure out why people love this show. It is weird as hell and not like anything you've seen before, plus like many shows, it takes time for the people making it to get into a groove. But the writing is smart, and it really helps that the main character is, too.

I watched half the first season. I enjoyed it fine. Just wasn't compelled for more.

You watched the weakest part and didn't get to the reward for sitting through it. The show starts picking up steam in the second half of the first season and then the second season is a LOT better than the second half of the first - very smart, very funny, and pretty dark. And the third season is better than the second.

The first season is 60% on RT with an average rating of 5.94/10: "Critics Consensus: It's intermittently funny, but in most respects, BoJack Horseman pales in comparison to similar comedies."

Season 2: 100%, 8.91: "Critics Consensus:Bojack Horseman truly comes into its own during season two, maturing into an ambitious comedy that sensitively blends wackiness with dark, nuanced drama."

S3: 100%, 9.19: Critics Consensus: Skillfully puncturing the idea of celebrity and our culture's bizarre obsession with it, BoJack Horseman's third season continues its streak as one of the funniest and most heartbreaking shows on television."
