Proving once again, that when they listen to input from folks actually COMING TO THEIR EVENT they find and cling to the WRONG parts of what folks are telling them. It's the ticketmaster 'wristband' theory in effect. Except even more scattershot. How the **** do they find ways to make the procedure MORE infuriating by listening to people???? Bizaarro SDCC clearly in charge.
 
Get ready. This saturday, Feb 8th, Pre-registration is going to be held.

I hate the new way cause it's like a lottery now. But damn if i don't get my tickets i will be so pissed.
 
Yeah...there will be blood...and tears. All the great consternatin and tweaking will fail miserably, and we will have more apologies and promisies of a fix next year. OOOfa and the hotels aren't even being dealt with yet. Good luck e'eryone.
 
So posted this in comic book thread and didn't hear anything. My daughter and I are going to our first Comicon in March (Emerald City - Seattle - Comicon). What can we expect? What should we be looking for, etc.? Am I going to find decent deals on merch or should we just enjoy "the show?" Not sure what will be going on from the pics I have seen over the years but can't wait to go. I will be looking for select trades and select t-shirts I can't find at local shops. We are doing one-day Saturday pass. Thanks in advance.

Not sure how well that one works but yeah...have your list, and be on the lookout. Price your items by looking at eBay/Amazon to get an idea what a decent bargain is and plan...I assume they are going to release an event schedule prior to the event. Highlight things you want to check out and be flexible. Have a back up plan. Planning is key to maximizing your day. Very easy to get overwhelmed and miss out on stuff by NOT knowing where to be. Don't be a slave to your plans though because **** happens. Above all have fun.
 
I just hate how we can only use one credit card. And the whole pre lobby thing.

Other than that it looks sleek. Hoping I can get all 5 days this time, haven't gone like that since 2010. Good luck to everyone!
 
well...got into the registration log in page...logged in, was told I had 15 minutes to complete my purchase...but selection page NEVER opened. What a tremendously improved system. So I have another sort of chance when general admission goes up, but fully expecting to miss this year. And that's fine...the money I save will ease my hurt feelings.

Yeah this system is ridiculous. Congratulations Epic, you controlled the server load so it wouldn't crash. Welcome to 1998. Instead, you screw people by making them randomly get a chance to enter a room where they can try to buy tickets. But you screwed that up too. I will never, ever, EVER understand why they don't swap to Ticketmaster to just let them handle this. It's absolutely ridiculous that they fight it and would rather see their customers and fans get angry.
 
UPDATE: so...after email correspondence, the powers that be have determined that I was one of the attendees affected by a glitch in the system. That's the good news. Whether they correct that by allowing me to purchase 4day/w/preview night as were available at said time of glitch remains to be seen. They said they are doing more research and will get back to me. I still think I can wind up with a 'sorry, and we thank you for your working with us to correct the problem but at this time...' kinda wah wah/slide whistle, but maybe, just maybe they will do the right thing.

Man, I hope they do right by you guys. If they see that was the case, and they only sold a certain percentage through the presale, there's no reason they shouldn't do it.

Of course, that makes WAY too much sense.

UPDATE: Forgive my language but SWEET S_ _t F_ _ _a-doodle!!!!!!!! Guess who gots 5 day passes. THIS GUY!!!!!!! And Kingsqueen. I still think the system is horribly flawed but at least the powers that be were able to correct an injustice. I commend them for not just saying 'tough titty poor kitty' as they woulda in the past. Now I just gotta figger out what to wear.

Sane thing happened to me. it glitched an error when I was buying full badges for my 3 ppl. I got an email two days ago that I was one of the small group that experienced the error. hopefully they will give me the for day badges. Cause I had it all selected before they sold out
 
Somewhat smaller and on a similar note: WonderCon passes are on sale. Got mine for the weekend. Can't wait to take my son to the Teen Titans Go! panel and try to meet up with a guy I knew from child hood if I can (Michael Jelenic the producer was in my patrol and boy scout troop)
