Well yeah, primarily because D3 or whatever Disneycon is called, is right around the corner. Marvel/Disney doesn't realize that folks will do both. Kinda shortsighted to not have at least some presence there. They tried to cut SDCC out of the loop too...but you don't mess with the big boys.

Well...Update time again...Day 23...endless holding pattern of 'please be patient' emails re:tickets. The point of contention is Preview Night. Basically they said if I conceded Preview Night I would probably been offered 4 day by now. Since I am sticking to my guns that I was froze out BEFORE PN sold out, they need to 'further research' my case. They keep preaching patience due to the MANY emails they received re:this 'glitch' in their system, even though they initially insisted it only affected a select few. So, everytime I get an email alert I am compelled to see if they have researched things enough, only to get slide whistled by junk mail viagra ads. Very frustrating, but unless something really goes sideways I should have at least 4 day passes. But until I see that confirmation...

They finally replied after a couple weeks.

I'm guessing that i can participate in Open Registration to try and get Preview night and Friday, and saturday. IF not then i can just email them after it ends to process their offer to me of Friday and Saturday which is guaranteed. Since i already have thursday and sunday i will be getting 4 days for sure..


Also^ Notbob, too bad most cosplayers don't look anything like that at SDCC. XD

Thank you for your patience while we researched the error you experienced during Comic-Con 2014 Preregistration. We have determined the error did occur while the badges you requested were still available.



Due to these findings, we will be able to help you purchase the badges requested at the time of the error. However, we will not be able to process your purchase until after Open Online Registration.



If you prefer not to wait, you may take part in Open Online Registration and attempt to purchase badges. Should you decide to participate in Open Online Registration and are unable to obtain the badges you want, Comic-Con International will still be able to help you sometime after Open Online Registration.

So, all the badges were available, but not all the badges were available, but they can help you purchase Friday and Saturday, but you already have Thursday and Sunday, but that doesn't constitute 4 days, so no preview?

I was going to type something angry as a follow-up, but then I noticed my Carl's Jr. cup says "Godzilla" on it, so I forgot what I was going to say. That's a true story. I guess with my attention span, I could qualify to work for Comic-Con registration.
 
I think Shaddy was requesting PN/Friday/Saturday, having somehow(a friend/logging back in) gotten Thursday/Sunday during pre registration. They determined that he got logged out/glitched AFTER PN had sold out, so they could only offer him Friday/Saturday. I, on the other hand, got NOTHING. And requested all four days with preview night, and since I was glitched out PRIOR to PN selling out, they made the right determination. I like that they say you can try the hamster wheel system they have in place, if you can't wait, but I figure why should I go through the anxiety. As long as they aren't going to take care of me AFTER the event I guess I will wait. Still yeah, at this point drowning my troubles in a Godzilla cup from Carl's Jr seems a good option.
 
Ah. Okay, I guess I just didn't follow the saga closely enough. It seems like they are trying to handle the situation in a way that will accommodate those affected by crashes without stirring up those who were not. Hopefully, it all works out.

The cup is not built to last. Just a regular disposable cup with advertising. But it will be my water cup at work for at least the next few days.

I just received it this morning when i was in class. They did email me before saying that they had a lot of people to resolve and that it would take a while to go through each one individually. Don't worry they will get you.

Only the four day badges were available at the time of the error i received..which was around 1030, an hour after PN sold out. But when my brother's friend logged onto our accounts and paid it gave me him an error. Then a few minutes later my computer went through to the lobby but i was receiving an error where i could not log in for another 20 minutes, by then F,S were sold out. We also screen shotted almost everything as it happened.

They know have the time stamp that you received the error, since it saved onto their server logs via your access code and IP i think. That's why it's taking a while for them to get back to people. That's why the only offered me Fri and Sat not PN since they knew the time of my error and what badges where still available.


I still have a shot at Preview night on Open Registration though. It's not like 2010 year where Preview night was free with 4 day badge purchase which kind of sucks. Then again that year it wasn't as popular as it is now. Heck they used to give away PN sticker badges on badge pick ups in 2010.
