‘The Void’ Trailer Teases a NSFW Practical Effects-Fuelled Nightmare
http://collider.com/the-void-trailer/#poster

Encountering a blood-soaked man on a dark deserted road, a police officer rushes the victim to the local hospital. Soon the staff and patients are trapped by a terrifying, otherworldly threat and forced on a hellish voyage into the depths of the building to escape the nightmare. Shocking, haunting and boasting mind-blowing practical special effects, The Void is a new must-see horror event, starring Ellen Wong (Scott Pilgrim vs the World), Kathleen Munroe (Alphas), Aaron Poole (Forsaken) and Kenneth Welsh (The Aviator) and Daniel Fathers. Written and directed by Jeremy Gillespie and Steven Kostanski and from the Executive Producer of The Witch.

The Void comes from writer-director duo Steven Kostanski and Jeremy Gillespie, industry veterans in the makeup effects and design whose previous credits include Hannibal, Crimson Peak, and the upcoming It movie. So, as you might expect, the effects on display here are really something to behold. The pair told Empire Magazine that they’re “committed to introducing audiences to a unique horror-mythology” with an aim to “combine the aesthetic attitude of modern horror cinema as it emerged in the 1970s with the splatter and sophisticated practical special effects that ruled the creature features of the 1980s and early ’90s.”

Y'all got my money!

Finally bought and watched Arrival... Wowzers! Fantastic film. Now I know that Amy Adams was snubbed.

Hurm. Does anyone BESIDES me think that Ridley Scott kinda screwed Neil Blomkamp? Blomkamp was putting together a pitch for an Alien movie that had us all excited. The return of Sigourney and Michael Biehn. And Scott...who was making a Prometheus sequel, was all on board to dovetail into Blomkamp's pitch. Somewhere along the way, Scott amped up the ALIEN to the point that Prometheus is more or less forgotten(you know, like right after you saw it).

Where oh where is Doc Naysay when i need him?
I totally got the feeling this movie will go absolutely no where ... although this quote about Quorra is really a tantalizing concept

But in her DNA itself, her being the first digital-human hybrid, there?s something in her being that allows objects from inside the Grid to exist in the real world and makes them permanent
