All Things:Science Fiction/Fantasy

With the extended beginning, gave me an '80s David Cronenberg and Howard Shore kind of vibe. Too bad not too much new from the previous teaser. Plus, I love the lack of any credits. They should run it theatrically like that.

Indeed. I am so ****ing ready for this movie.

Rush tipped for Gods Of Egypt role

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is already on board to play Horus, who sets out for revenge against his uncle for killing his father Osiris.

Gerard Butler is said to be in talks to play Set, Osiris' murderous brother and a god of the desert, storms and foreigners.

Egyptian filmmaker Alex Proyas - who directed The Crow and I, Robot - would take the reins and would also share screenwriting credits with Burk Sharpless and Matt Sazamat on Gods Of Egypt, which is set amidst the mythology of ancient Egypt.

Australian-born Geoffrey, who has played pirate captain Hector Barbossa in the Pirates Of The Caribbean films and was nominated for an Oscar for his performance as speech therapist Lionel Logue in Tom Hooper's The King's Speech, will next star in the big-screen adaptation of Markus Zusak's novel The Book Thief.

The 62-year-old is also expected to reprise his role as Barbossa opposite Johnny Depp in the fifth Pirates Of The Caribbean movie, Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Sounds good. Left that last bit in there because...well...BARBOSSA!!!!!!!!!!!!

ENDER’S GAME Images and IMAX Poster. ENDER’S GAME Stars Asa Butterfield and Harrison Ford | Collider

Man they pimped this hard for such a long time before the movie is set to be released. And then...blip. Coincidence? Or Clever? By getting it out there early the controversy over the author's views on marraige equality came to the forefront...then they quiet things down and...maybe it goes away? Now they put on a new push and hope that people are tired of hearing about it? Smart...so it has to be a coincidence.

That's actually not the footage they showed this past Comicon. Parts of it were incorporated, but I think that might be the teaser they showed the year before(can't confirm because I got shut out on that day). It is still really awesome and I hope that Gareth Edwards fulfills the promise that that short teaser hints at.

Just saw Gravity this weekend. Was a bit surprised given the marketing campaign - it is a lot more "Armageddon" than "2001." Be prepared to suspend your disbelief. That said, I saw it in IMAX 3D and... Wow!! That looked amazing.

I was unimpressed. Lots of OOOOHing and AAhing and the story is implausible at every turn compacted by a sad sack tacked on story(her kid) that just seemed trite and unecessary. Clooney was his usual charming self(age is actually working for him) but, as usual in my opinion, I never stopped thinking I am watching Sandra Bullock in a movie. 3d added almost nothing and neither really did the Imax(Chinese Theater). Movie made me uncomfortable as far as the predicament and all the spinning(motion sickness types may want to stay away) but in the end all it really felt like was one of those Vegas-y thrill ride/motion simulators with about as much drama and human emotion. Don't believe the hype.
