Recreate ‘Jurassic Park’ Hacking Scene With Jurassic Systems

Jurassic Systems is an interactive HMTL5/Javascript site created by programmer Tully Robinson that allows you to recreate this scene. When you visit the site, will be taken to the main page where the Jurassic Park scene is available to watch as a YouTube embed. It’s advised that you watch this scene before proceeding to the fun part because you will need to know the three commands Jackson’s character enters before that annoying little animation of Newman’s sweaty, bulbous noggin on a cartoon Elvis body (never noticed that part before) wagging his finger and saying, “Ah-ah-ah, you didn’t say the magic word!” Enter the three commands in the correct phrasing and order and….well, you know what happens next. The system also accepts these five basic commands: “access,” “system,” “ls,” “display,” and “help.”

Head over to jurassicsystems.com — you might find this an amusing way to kill a few minutes. Maximize the experience by lighting up a few dozen cigarettes and cuing up the John Williams soundtrack. Then get ready to party like it’s 1993.

I think I am thinking of King Kong Escapes. That was made in Japan, no? Can't remember if Godzilla was in it. I watch watch a lot of those movies when I was a kid, but it's been years and years. Too long. :(

And that Mothra was always asking for it!

New Godzilla makes a special appearance at a screening of the 1954 original

The shot ends as the camera pans up the full length of Godzilla's body, finally revealing him in all his pissed-off glory, and as he roars a challenge, the Hokmuto screeching its own challenge back at him, the clip finally cut to black.

It is impressive to see how right they got the design for Godzilla. If people hate this movie, it won't be because the design of the creature is wrong. It couldn't have been easy to pin down something that evokes all the various incarnations of this character, but that feels like an actual living, breathing animal, but it looks like they nailed it. I love how angry he looked, and while the scene cut off before Godzilla and the Hokmuto began to fight, it was pretty clear that was about to happen. At 600 feet high, Godzilla towers over the other creature, which is very bug-like, but there are plenty of secrets about the Hokmuto that weren't revealed in what we saw tonight, and the fight isn't going to be as easy as Godzilla might hope.
