All things:sequels

Who is dying to see an Avatar sequel I wonder, let alone three of them? I thought the first one was long enough already... Bah, they'll probably end up grossing billions and be the biggest movie franchise of all time.

Way Of The Gun, on my DVD shelf.

The Bourne sequel and the Avatar sequel can battle it out for least needed sequel. Oops, Pirates Of The Caribbean: Whatever Number They Are On Now wins.

I've only seen Crystal Skull once when it was released, so I can't be super specific. Maybe this is a good opportunity to bust into my Indy Blu set.

Anyway, the opening sets the tone really well, especially when it goes BIG. I like that kind of thing. Sort of like when
the presence of space aliens is added to the mix
right in the first episode of American Horror Story. Or, I'm sure something super wacky happened at the beginning of Escape from LA (but my mind is overwhelmed by the surfing right now, sorry). So, right off the bat, you know they are going to throw everything at you.

The pace and tone kept me entertained, moreso than either of the other sequels, and the supernatural/otherworldly themes kept in line with the entire series. It's not Raiders, of course, but none of the series comes anywhere close to being Raiders.

‘Roided Up Old Hens Of EXPENDABLES 3 Stirring More Gossip | CHUD.com

The Hollywood Reporter is now saying that they have a source who is elaborating on Stallone’s passive aggressive tweets. Apparently Willis was offered three million
dollars for four days of work on Expendables 3. When he countered with four million they told him no. This anonymous insider called Harrison Ford “a better actor
[and] a much nicer person [than Willis].” Sure that’s a crazy amount of money for anyone to ask for (it’s over 10,000 times what I make in four days), the opulence of
Hollywood is always up for discussion, but its the pettiness that strikes me here. I just love that movies that are supposed to be about men being men are surrounded by
so much name calling and gossip.

It’s almost enough for me to want to get back to Twitter, follow Stallone’s account, and see what he has to say next… Almost.
