News broke yesterday of a new movie on its way featuring the very haunted Annabelle doll, which was spotlighted in James Wan's runaway supernatural hit The Conjuring, and today we have a quick update to the story.
Our friends over at Paranormal Pop Culture are reporting that a script already exists that was written with Lorraine Warren’s blessing and is now in rewrites.
The Conjuring’s director of photography, John R. Leonetti, is stepping behind the camera to direct. Sources say the movie will begin filming in the spring of 2014.
The fourth installment of the Mad Max franchise, Mad Max: Fury Road, is now officially set to open on May 15, 2015. That’s almost exactly 30 years since the last film, Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, graced the screens.
Jeremy Irvine, plucked from obscurity by Steven Spielberg for War Horse, takes over the reigns from Daniel Radcliffe, who helped make the original Woman in Black a surprise hit. The new film is set 40 years after the first, with Phoebe Fox also part of the cast, and now Leanne Best as well. Additionally, more creepy children are being sought to play ghosts in the film, according to BBC, with filming to take place underwater to capture that extra creepy ghostly feel.
The Tom Harper directed film won’t come out until February 13, 2015 in the UK, so if you’re dying to know the whole story, you can read the book, which was just released.
The Daily Mail are saying that Christoph Waltz has shown some interest in playing the villain, one Captain Brand, in the next Pirates of the Caribbean film, Dead Men Tell No Tales.
I know what their source is on this, and I can tell you, the Waltz part is nothing like a done deal. Indeed, I’d call their story hearsay.
The plot details they offer are far more solid, however. Here’s a clipping from their report – with a little spoiler edited out.
Jack and his team are in search of The Trident, which Keith [Richards'] Teague holds valuable information to.
The villain this time is Captain Brand… [he] wants the Trident so he can get his revenge on Jack.
Brand believes Jack turned his brother Eric into a pirate, which led to his death.

Barbossa, Teague and perhaps Cristophe Waltz...even Dr Naysay can't hate this.
