TED 2 Review: Painfully Funny and Unbearably Sluggish
http://collider.com/ted-2-review-seth-macfarlane-mark-wahlberg/

Guy is all over the place...says it's funny, then slams MacFarlane more than the actual movie. This review is useless. Sorry

Sorry to quote my own crap, but after seeing the movie, this review is actually pretty spot on.
Basically, while the first movie was a tight little package, albeit fairly predictable...this one is a rambling, sprawling mess. At least 20 minutes too long. That's the bad news. The good news...it's kinda funnier. A lot more cutaway Family Guy stuff, and just some severely ridiculous moments(the opening song and dance number in particular), but in the middle of the whole thing...some realllllllllllly funny stuff. I was laughing pretty hard pretty much the whole way through. That makes it a win. I don't know if it has the same rewatchability as the original...but I can honestly recommend it with the caveat that you go in realizing this movie is, technically, a storytelling mess.
Few other thoughts, yeah...the attempts to parallel Ted's fight with great civil rights causes is borderline painful. There is an African American character in the grocery store who's use of the N word is extremely off putting. But Marky Mark is having a good time, and Amanda Seyfried, well...I didn't dislike her as much as I usually do...and she has a surprisingly good sense of humor because some great jokes are made at her expense.
And stay thru the credits.

Oh, Liam Neeson is f'n awesome. Just F'N AWESOME.

The best line in A Million Ways To Die is when Charlize says something like "How can with someone with such huge eyes be so blind?"

You've got to give her credit for taking that kind of **** so well.

That was soft compared to some of the stuff Ted 2 tosses at her. There was a scene when I actually snorted I was laughing so hard.

With few exceptions, if a comedy delivers a story, I consider it a bonus. I just want to laugh.

Saw Ted 2 today. Some top notch stuff, but a little too long. A decent/good story in a comedy only helps though right? I might've laughed a bit too loudly and the Kardashian and Fox News jokes. And bonus points to Warburton and for Hasbro agreeing to get free advertising. I'd rate it around a 4/5.

Also, was the stuff cut from the trailers supposed to be in the movie or done on purpose? Surely this movie had more cameos than Entourage, right?

Saw Minions today and had several hearty laughs every couple of minutes. So yeah, I basically loved it.

Question, would critics/reviewers, you know, review it properly if they didn't speak in Minionese for 1.5 hrs? So many: "Children's movie. 2 stars."
