Hansel And Gretel: Witchhunters 2 Gets A New Director

Paramount Pictures have chosen French director Bruno Aveillan to helm Hansel and Gretel: Witchhunters 2. The original films director Tommy Wirkola decided to exit the film after having written the script, which seemed to have put the sequel in jeopardy. But with Aveillan coming on board the studio is now looking for a writer to do some re-writes and get things moving forward.

Both Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton are expected to return.

The first film didn’t do well with critics who condemned the script and excessive violence, but movie goers seemed to disagree as it brought in $226 million worldwide.

Aveillan is an interesting choice as he hasn’t made any major films, but is internationally renowned for his photography and commercial work.

Johnny Depp is back and co-star Mia Wasikowska is back too, with James Bobin ("The Muppets," "Muppets Most Wanted") behind the camera in a new tale that will take audiences down the rabbit hole all over again. Anne Hathaway, MIchael Sheen, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen, and more will appear in a movie that will try to make waves during summer blockbuster season next year.

Not sure this is right spot or not but just watched "Terminator Genesis" and very much enjoyed it.

Maybe it was because my expectations were so insanely low, but I too was entertained by Terminator Genesis. It was still a piece of crap, but at least it wasn't drab like the last Terminator movie with Christian Bale.
