Ok, that's it. News for this no longer goes in the GDT thread. This is just a standard, cash in on the overseas box office cash grab now. Watered down glorified straight to dvd stuff.

I appreciate what GDT did with Pacific Rim, but it's the only one of his films that left me cold (I still haven't seen Mimic. Ha!) Maybe, I should watch it again. Dunno, Kaiju movies, at least for me, need to be more low budget and whatnot. It's part of the charm. Either way, I didn't think Pacific Rim needed a sequel with or without GDT. And I am glad that he's not doing it because it frees him up to do other things. There's only one GDT sequel I wanna see! :pssst:

I still haven't watched my Blu-ray. I saw it twice in the theaters, both times in IMAX, and I'm a little afraid that nothing is going to compare to that. Really, one of the few films that was truly worth the IMAX treatment.

I watched it in the cinema, but, um, yeah, not IMAX. :fpalm:

If they can't afford her, the back-up plan is to put some fermented cabbage in a bundt cake pan and have a Ring of Kimchi.

Hmmm. I live off Colima road which is Asiatastic, haha. Some Korean restaurants and they all have Kimchi. I love it. mhihi:

But anyhoow, I thought Rinko Kikuchi should had been cast as Motoko Kusanagi in the Ghost in the Shell movie. I like Scarlie & she's Jewish like me, but she's also half Euro, and pretty white. I don't like how Asians are just ignored in these movies, but, I digress.

Could you imagine a GDT Ghost in the Shell movie? :O More Asian and less white washed. And more nerdy too.

At least GDT cast Pacific Rim with Asians, Blacks, Whites, and Jews (I am looking at you Pearlman, haha)! :good:
