Ok, I don't mean to be cynical, and I understand...these movies are the wide release version of Sharknado. But how in the hell can this be the origin of the purge when it looks like it's either a present or future as far as the franchise goes. Do they not even care? Was it too much trouble to retro it up a bit? These movies are made cheap to reap the rewards, but like other franchises, if they learned to put a little bit of quality into the production people wouldn't eventually turn their backs. I enjoyed the last one. Reasonably clever with some surprisingly good character work by Frank Grillo and Mykelti Williamson. This just seriously looks like junk.
