Andy Daly’s Excellent Series ’Review’ Will End After a Shortened Season 3
http://collider.com/andy-daly-review-season-3/

That's too bad. This show is one of the best and hardest to watch shows on tv. If you have ever seen Always Sunny, and you were mortified when the kids went on crack so they could get government assistance...well, this show is a topper. Andy Daly is note perfect too.

Wash of ‘Firefly’ and Abed of ‘Community’ are ‘Powerless’ on NBC

The lives of superheroes are kind of a nightmare if you stop to think about it for two seconds. They balance garbage jobs and secret identities with regularly going toe-to-toe with villains and creatures powerful enough to wipe out humanity. That’s a lot of stress, especially since superheroes don’t have company-paid health insurance.

But as much as it might suck to be a superhero, being a normal person living in a superhero world is 1000% times worse. Here you are just trying to get up in the morning, drop your kids off at school, get to work, figure out dinner, and worry about mundane things. Then along comes a superhero fighting a Monster of the Week™ and suddenly your office building is a pile of ash. NOW how are you supposed to get those TPS reports done!?

Such is the premise of Powerless, a new un-superhero show that NBC picked up for a pilot. Set in the DC Universe (though whether the Arrow-verse, the Supergirl-verse, Earth-2, or some new multiverse has not yet been revealed), Powerless is based on the DC comic of the same name that ran from 2004 to 2005*. Yesterday NBC announced that Vanessa Hudgens would be starring in her first regular television series role as Emily Locke. The character is an insurance claims adjuster who just wants to put her head down and help people. But Locke becomes increasingly exasperated by the destructive terror that is superheroes and supervillains.

[*Whoops! It was Marvel that had a POWERLESS comic which stripped superheroes of their powers.]

New Girl has been on-fire since it premiered. And the Megan Fox storylines have been gold since Zooey left.

Anyone try watching The Magicians on syfy?

It's ridiculously bad. I mean cheesy as all hell, storylines that don't make a lot of sense yet and jump around. And those hand movements they do to use magic? Like 2nd graders would play around with.

And yet, I can't stop watching....

*High Fives ucsdguy* :chums:

Exactly. It's basically a mix of emo College drama with the whole Wizard school genre, but man, haha, if it hasn't become a guilty pleasure of mine. :P

James Purefoy On ‘Hap And Leonard,’ The Beauty Of Rural Life, And Being Happy Not To Have Been James Bond
http://letsgokings.com/showthread.php/305917-All-Things-TELEVISON/page358

Hap and Leonard starts this week on Sundance. I like Purefoy, and Omar from the wire...but I LOVE the Hap and Leonard books. So I am VERY interested and also VERY concerned with this. I will watch with an open mind...but they have some HUGE HUGE HUGE shoes to fill.

I'm really digging Megan Fox's chemistry with the New Girl cast. I hope she sticks around or at least has a guest starring role even when Zooey comes back.

Yeah, when I read that he and Nick Damici were involved it made me a little more comfy. The reviews all state that it gets better after episode 1, so I am planning to hold off and watch back to back next week, just so I don't overreact.

I watched Ep 1 last night and was a bit underwhelmed. Hearing this makes me feel a little better.
