Herc Predicts Imminent Ax-ation For PRIME SUSPECT, PAN AM, BODY OF PROOF And MAN UP!!
Ain't It Cool News: The best in movie, TV, DVD, and comic book news.

Wow, did not expect Prime Suspect to fail so badly. Judging by the amount of promotion NBC did, I have to say they are a little surprised too. Looked like a good show for network tv.

in other news

“Terra Nova” gained before the baseball hiatus, leaving “Fringe” alone as most likely to get cancelled. I trust Fox will let it finish out the season, given that The Bishop Boys were gangbusters business before Fox moved them to later in the week.
“Beavis and Butt-head” returned after a 14-year absence to overtake 14-year-old “South Park” as cable’s highest rated comedy. “Boardwalk Empire,” the highest-rating thing on pay cable at the moment, got its third season last week. “Sons of Anarchy,” to the surprise of no one, just was renewed for next year. I imagine FX’s “American Horror Story,” which just hit a personal high, will be back next fall as well.

I TRIED to watch Prime Suspect, as I'm a HUGE fan of the original BBC show, and it just....SUCKED OUTRIGHT. I hate shows with forced "accents" and that show was WAAAAY too New York for my taste. I'm also not that big a fan of Maria Bello, I sort-of liked her on ER, but that was before she toyed with Carter's emotions for two seasons.

TRIED to watch "Whitney" - didn't make it all the way through the pilot, and I went to HS with one of the Executive Producers! Which is strange because I like "2 Broke Girls" - mostly because of Kat Dennings though.

DVRed (and now deleted) Pan Am, Playboy Club and Charlie's Angels. I actually only watched ONE episode of Pan Am, and gave the rest a skip.

Have all of Terra Nova on DVR, but kind of waiting to see if it's worth watching yet.

Watched the pilot of that "How to be a Gentleman" and I thought it was cute, but knew it wasn't going to last.

Grimm was formulaic as hell and I fully expect it to go the way of The Cape, but I will watch it till then.

Oh, and Alan Gregory was annoying. Anyone see Family Guy? That was an odd episode.

FG wasn't their version of the after-school special?

2 Broke Girls is still hanging-in the 'entertaining' dept.

Castle is the best thing on TV on Monday nights. Too bad there was no Halloween ep. Stana Katic looks like she needs a sandwich though.

Can't really stand behind 2(!) shows ripping-off Fables, but I will try to catch the premiere re-run of Grimm tomorrow.

According to the NBC promos, GRIMM is the #1 new show(on Friday Night). Anyone have an opinion? I keep waiting for Doc Naysay to spray vitriol on this...what say you brother?

Hannibal Lecter Series Finds Home on Television - ShockTillYouDrop.com

That proposed Hannibal television series we told you about has a home.

NBC reportedly picked it up and Bryan Fuller will develop a 13-episode run executive produced by Martha De Laurentiis.

Unlike some other shows, Hannibal will not need to deal with going through the "pilot" process. Deadline says if NBC likes the first script Fuller pens, it will go right to series.

What do you think? Read for some "further adventures of Hannibal Lecter?"

The show is said to focus on Lecter's early days and his cat-and-mouse relationship with FBI agent Will Graham.

Ugh.
