All Things: TELEVISON

If you guys haven't checked out Legit yet, you have to give it a try. It's funny as hell, but not in a conventional sitcom way. And Jim Jefferies is brilliant. Legit | Thursdays 10:30

Thanks for bringing it up here. I have been praising it on the Fx thread, but not everyone gets there. This show deserves a bump, so...thanks. And '50's dad was friggin hilarious.

I watched the first episode and thought it was decent. So far it has been taken directly from his stand up act.

I wonder if it would be even funnier without seeing his stand up act before the show? I think as it branches out from his stand up stuff into new stuff will be where it gets real good.

It's a great show - I haven't laughed out loud at a show in a long time, but when they were video chatting with the indie chick with the tattoo on her back I was dying.

Well the show is much tamer than his stand up act so that might have an effect. I remember the Drew Carey show was the same way, where the first season contained alot of his stand up.

It does draw on some of his routines but it does soften the edges. The stuff with Qualls is actually really sweet. As far as a standard comedy, it's a lot like Louie in respect that it is not at all traditional. I just hope it doesn't suffer from the comparisons. It's a lot simpler and less pretentious than Louie is. Kindofa weird vibe...I have felt uncomfortable as much as I have laughed, so yeah...overall I think it succeeds. Jefferies and the rest of the cast are charming and pretty easy to like so that helps. Couldn't believe the mom is Mindy Sterling from the Austin Powers flicks. Like her, hope they give her more to do.

Ok so i watched the first two eps of Ripper Street. I thought it was good but, I couldnt help comparing it to Copper. The two shows are very similar. That being said i will keep watching it.

UMMMMMM Me! I was so glad to see the guy from Texas go. He was more of a douche than a nerd. Sorry to see John(?) go...liked the longhair representing. Although his gurglrrock thing was pretty weak. Like the leader of the Orange team. He's my pick. It's fun, but I wants more Curtis 'Booger' Armstrong.

It is amazing how forceful Booger's voice is.

I didn't like when Jon left. His death metal growl was positively demonstrative! The pro gamer girl annoys me, and her debate performance was awful. The challenges and stupid animations when a contestant goes home are cheesy enough to make me love it.

I enjoy how despite their "nerdiness", some of these guys can drink like there's no tomorrow. I'm waiting for the challenge where they have to re-create the college events from revenge of the nerds.

And my wife thinks Danielle is way too sexy for this show.

The cosplay episode was painful to watch. Yeah, that chick is nerd cute...not overly though. There is a lot of drinking, that one guy(Virgil?) really likes his vodka. Don't know if you watch American Dad, but Booger does the voice of the kids friend Snot and a few weeks ago they had a cool reference to his dad walking out for a pack of smokes, and I forget the exact phrasing, but they hinted, at least I thought, that his dad was Booger. Him an Louis were on Howard a few weeks ago and it was a fun interview. Seem like nice guys.

Don't watch American Dad, but that's pretty funny.

I heard the interview on Stern. Loved Carradine talking about his back-end participation adventures over the course of the nerd movies, mostly because I'm heavily involved with that stuff at Disney.

the remote control helicopter thing from the ipad was good. I know I would suck terribly at it.
