Ha! You guys haven't heard of the sub-genera "Hipster Nerds?"

I'd like to thank CBS for managing to only put three teams I despise and two teams I can't stand on the new Amazing Race. Hopefully the banshees are the first to go.

Walking Dead was good, despite all the phony moments - guy sees Rick on the floor only to get choked out, mullet who will save the world fires wildly and ruins the truck, gunman on the porch hears noise inside just as Rick has to make a move. I like the three new characters and the continued personality-ification of Michonne. Rick is already on his way to meeting up with another of our five groups. I was expecting to roll my eyes for hours when the zombies appeared behind the mullet as Southland was fighting Glen - he can save humanity... oops! but thankfully he didn't die (yet).
 
I'm watching Black Sails, but really slowly. I like to wait for a couple of episodes to binge watch.

It is such a great show. Really impressed that it is as classy and 'real' as it is. I know everyone expected Michael Bay type shenanigans but it's clear that he is on this in name only. Great 'ship-play' in the last episode and I hope the ratings are strong because this clearly is NOT a cheap show. I want more seasons after this one. This is top of the stack material as far as my dvr goes.

seriously. After this week's show ended it's "oh it's on!" and want to watch the next episode badly now.

Loved the sequences when they finally got some action out on the open water.

Even better, but all Starz shows tend to get 2 out of the gate...let's see if they can maintain the good start and get a season 3.

So MANY great characters, cast really well. Don't know if anyone is paying attention...but I am SERIOUSLY IN LOVE with this show.
