Good article about a show that is sincerely unpredictable. And...it just keeps growing and getting better.

Better and better is right! I just caught up after some binge watching cant wiat for season 5.

I like the historical aspects of the show, which has been pointed out, is not perfect, but pretty damn close.

The Following was fairly blahhh.

spoiler alert

They could've cut about 5 episodes this season. Theo and that girl's "company" was lame-o.

A fitting finale would've just been to end it once Joe Carroll died.

Cinemax and Justin Lin Developing Bruce Lee-Inspired Drama Series WARRIOR
http://collider.com/cinemax-justin-lin-developing-bruce-lee-inspired-drama-warrior/

Filmmaker Justin Lin was one of the driving forces behind turning the Fast & Furious franchise into one of the most popular film series of all time by helming installments 3-5, and now it appears he’s keen on expanding his reach into the TV realm. Lin is the director HBO settled on to helm the first two episodes of True Detective Season 2, crafting the visual look of the anthology series’ second season, and now he’s developing a TV show of his own at Cinemax.

Per Deadline, the HBO sister network and Lin are developing the drama series Warrior, which is inspired by the writings of martial arts legend Bruce Lee. Lin is attached to direct the potential pilot, which was written by Jonathan Tropper, the co-creator/writer of Cinemax’s other hit original series Banshee. Should Cinemax order it to series, Tropper would act as executive producer alongside Lin.

Described as a crime drama, Warrior “traces the path of a gifted but morally corrupt fighter thrown into crisis after a lifelong quest for vengeance is undermines.” This was a passion project of Lee’s for some time, and his daughter Shannon Lee found his extensive handwritten notes on the series after his death.

Well, having the Banshee guy on board is a great idea if he can bring this...

My eulogy for The Following...

Thanks for an ever increasingly so bad it's good tv show, filled with ridiculous plot twists, inconceivable character decisions and the absolute worst depiction of the FBI ever committed to film. I will miss this show tremendously. This season was a tough slog, but they set things up so well for the fourth season that will never be. They completely embraced the stupidity of their overall direction. Could have been epic, Prisonbreak style epic even. Goodnight funnyman.

I thought it was taking itself too seriously to ever be on Prison Break level.

I will say, Bacon's "fake limp" at the end was academy award-worthy...

That's why 'what could have been' is such a loss. An off the grid Kevin Bacon with Joe Carroll roadtrippin as his conscience taking on a Hostel like cabal of rich international serial killers while 'Bruce Banner-ing' over his shoulder to slow piano music. If that isn't Prison Break worthy...well...I know nothing.

TEXAS RISING Review: History Dares to Mess with the Lone Star State

Not exactly getting great reviews...did anyone check it out?

I watched it for about 80 minutes and shut it off. It was horrible and a horrible waste of time. The dialog was robotic, the story is all over the place and most of the acting just flat suck ass.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Deaf Smith) and his acting are by far the best thing going for it. The acting drops DRAMATICALLY after him. Either Bill Paxton's already marginal acting skills have left him or he just doesn't give a fffff anymore. He was awful.

Ive been following this Series since it was announced back in '12 and I'm EXTREMELY disappointing in what it is...a giant POS.

That's a shame. At least my boy JDM did well according to your post.

Watched about 45 min more of Ep.2 of Texas Rising last night. Still sucked balls.

...moving on...
