All Things: TELEVISON

Over the 7(?) shows shooting there, CW surely must've had 99% of Vancouver on their shows by now right? :)

Probably. I watch iZombie which is a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. And yeah, that's shot in Vancouver too. The show is supposed to take place in Seattle though, but they're not fooling anyone. The city looks like Vancouver and not Seattle, haha. At least they are not trying to pass off Vancouver as Texas or something. ;)

Allegedly the critics love Designated Survivor, but I can see it ending up going nowhere. I will try it (and Timeless), but maybe it will be as uninspired as Keifer's last new show and they will realize it is better to spend the money and his time on making another season of 24 again. Except that Designated Survivor is not on Fox, but a man can dream.

Gotham is just a mess. They just throw crap together at random and see what happens. It's all watchable, but I don't care about any of it. On the other hand, Jamie Chung.

I watched the Zorn preview and it was getting pretty old after just 30 minutes. At least I have the Goldfarbs on Wednesday.

So I watched The Good Place on NBC.com last night and I thought it was pretty funny. It's light-hearted and quirky. It did good on Monday night, ratings wise but that was because it was after The Voice. Hopefully people will watch Superstore (another show that's fun) and then The Good Place on Thursday.

One complaint though... and I was wondering if any of you have a similar problem. I usually watch a lot of these shows on Hulu but this summer they took away the free option. Bastards. I seriously don't want to pay 8 bucks a month to watch something that should be free AND still have to watch commercials. However, like I mentioned in the first sentence.. I did watch The Good Place on NBC.com. My only gripe was that it was extremely laggy/choppy. I powered through it anyhow but if that's going to happen on NBC.com I'm definitely going to be annoyed.

I see "This Is Us" exploded on Twitter because of 'a twist'. And then I read it and thought 'that's all?'. They've never seen Mr Robot, I guess. LOL

Spoiler Alert
I wasn't expecting to watch it so read about the twist beforehand, but I don't see how people could be surprised. As soon as they said, "High risk pregnancy" you had to expect something would go wrong. After that, everything seemed pretty obvious. I thought the whole thing was a bit pretentious, and my husband said it wasn't grabbing him so we're probably one and done.

Very impressive how good the first ep of Brooklyn 99 was with only two of the characters in the episode. I would not mind at all if they spend a few more eps in Florida before the inevitable return to NYC.

Loving the premiere of the Goldfarbs. So much Breakfast Club goodness, and Johnny Atkins. Give Erica a spinoff when she goes to college like A Different World, and send Johnny Atkins with her.

Is it worth tuning in? First thing I thought when I saw the commercial was that the guy is Peter Petrelli from Heroes. And I also got a Parenthood vibe from the trailers, so I didn't bother.

^ Sorry, no idea as I never watched it.

I did watch Survivor... very underwhelmed. And the preview for next week? Insert latest 'too many Med-evacs complaint' here.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is my faaaaaaaaaaave. So happy it's back! I didn't even realize it was Jake and Holt-centric until after the ep was over. Super funny even without the rest of the cast, but I'm excited for the rest of the squad to (I'm assuming) head down to Florida.

I haven't had a chance to see it yet but it's a 3 parter according to the episode listings. Are they really doing 3 episodes of just Jake and Holt? That would be nuts.

And I wonder how the B99 and New Girl crossover episode is going to work as well.

One of the highlights of Brooklyn 99 was the mentioned of Failure to Launch, haha. If Matthew McConaughey's career can come back from that movie it can come back from anything. Actually, a lot of well known people were in that turkey. Too bad Brooklyn 99 had to go and remind me of it. cry: mhihi:
