They really should just build a hybrid third theme park in the middle 'Murica and call it a day.

Great point. If it does go through, I imagine it will be like what they did with the SoCal tier pass a couple years ago when they halted new sales of them, but allowed people to be grandfathered in whom previously had the SoCal tier pass.

Disneyland Resort Annual Passholders also will have the opportunity to purchase Disney MaxPass on a daily or yearly basis.

Guests will continue to have the option of Disney FASTPASS service at no cost by obtaining FASTPASSES at attraction FASTPASS kiosks, just as they do today.

Jeez. If the MaxPass was free, I'd be all over it. Luckily I'm not that lazy and I can walk to the FastPass kiosks like a normal person. I'm not going to Disneyland and spending an extra $10 to avoid walking. Crazy.

The only way it would be worth it is if you can avoid the (what is it?) 2 hr wait times in between getting fast passes. I'd pay 10 bucks for that depending on the crowds.
 
Same, I've never been on ToT, but walked through the queue to check it out. The old Parachutes at Knotts Berry Farm traumatized me when I was a kid. My mom said I was a pale shade of green when I got off of them and I felt sick for the rest of the day. :/
 
I went on it at Disneyworld as a young Dexter. I now hate roller coasters.
 
I loved the Twilight Zone aspect of Tower of Terror. The highlight of the whole experience was waiting in line. As a big Twilight Zone fan, I loved all the references. My favorite part of the ride itself is when you hit the peak of the ride, and you're just floating there for a second with a magnificent view of the park. They should keep that part no matter what.

Agreed. There's something nostalgic about being in the first room with the tv video before the lights go out. And the weird shadow view right before the first drop.
 
Went to Disneyland on Saturday afternoon, snapped this pic at 5pm near the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad entrance...which had a wait time of 70 minutes. So much for the January-February "off" season. We then walked over and got FP's for the Haunted Mansion, rode Winnie the Pooh (our daughter loves it), came back for our 5:55pm FP return time and rode HM. From there we went over to DCA and ate, then hit The Little Mermaid (daughters favorite ride, she is only 1.5 years old, lol) and then left through the Grand Californian Hotel. The line for TLM was in full force, wrapping all the way around the back through all of its switch-backs. An average day sees a wait time of maybe 5-7 minutes for that attraction, we probably waited 25 minutes. Not the end of the world, rather an indication of the crowd levels.

I always go to Disneyland on weekends (having a job is the worst sometimes) and crowd levels are all over the place. I was there on a Sunday a few weeks ago and it was absolutely PACKED, then I was back again the following Saturday and it wasn't crowded at all. I'm talking like 25 minute wait for Hyperspace Mountain at noon, 10 minutes for Big Thunder Mountain, 20 for Star Tours, etc. It was unbelievable. Then I was there again yesterday and it was packed again. Winnie the Pooh had a 25 minute wait. If *that ride* is any longer than 10 minutes, that's my cue to leave.
