You know. My dad listens to Steely Dan., so I had to listen to them while growing up, haha. I didn't really like them because they sounded like elevator music to me or something, but when I got older, I began to appreciate them quire a bit, particularly their musicianship.

My dad told me they were perfectionists, yeah, I could see what he meant.

Steely Dan were not for children. That's the weird thing about radio/pop music in the 70s. It catered to a more mature crowd than today's so called pop. Adult themes, intricate musicianship. Much like most of 70s pop culture it was smarter than the average bear.
Disliked Steely Dan as a child. As an adult, I appreciate.
