Is anyone surprised or not sure why Weiland passed away? I mean, Amy Winehouse is high fiving him right now in respect for going all final destination and slipping the noose for as long as he did. Sad for his family...but this was a long time coming.

I don't think anyone is surprised. If anything I'm surprised he made it to 48.

see...that's a more realistic response. We should be celebrating his professionalism as a drug abuser. He was very successful in the grand scheme of things.

I do love all the twittermonials from all the artists who were burned by him so bad that the mere mention of his name in interviews turned the room chilly. In death, they can speak well of him...c'est la vie.

btw...cause of death: Cardiac arrest.

The ARIA hall of famer became ill on Boxing Day and was taken to Moruya Hospital on the New South Wales south coast, where he died on Sunday night."
