oh man...

CAN YOU SHOW ME SOME MOVES!!!

This is sad news!

I met Vanity in a Ralphs store on Pico around 30 years ago. I was in the magazine aisle and she came up and started talking with me. I kind of had an idea of who she was and she took my hand and said "hi, my name is Vanity. She then said "you have the prettiest blue eyes." That threw me off my game! We started talking about what I did, I was going to school and just finished golfing. We talked about where we lived and then she showed me a magazine that she was in and just had a nice conversation for about 10 minutes.

Toward the end of our conversation, she said she was going to go and when she was walking away, she said "I am going to be on TJ Hooker tonight, so check me out." After telling my friends what happened, they all shook their heads and said you have no nuggets and why didn't you not ask her for her phone #? I was a 21 year old blonde hair blue eye boy that just froze in the moment. What was I going to do pull up in my 1984 red corolla to take her out?

She was very sweet, she had to be around 27 at that time. Sad news!

George Clayton Johnson, Writer of First ‘Star Trek’ Episode, Dies at 86

This is from 25 December 2015. Somehow I missed this when it happened. In addition to writing "The Man Trap" episode of Star Trek, George Clayton Johnson also wrote some of my favorite Twilight Zone episodes including "Nothing in the Dark," "A Game of Pool," and "Kick the Can." He also co-wrote the novel and screenplay of "Logan's Run."

His passing on 25 December is particularly poignant, because it is connected to Twilight Zone creator Rod Serling, whose birthday was 25 December. His son mentioned that he held onto life for a couple of days longer than expected in order to meet that date.
