Kaos, you are quite the Angel of Death lately.
It has been announced that singer/songwriter/comedian Victoria Wood has died, aged 62, from cancer.
Creator of sketch show such as Victoria Wood As Seen On TV in the eighties, sitcoms such as Dinnerladies and taking on the West End with Acorn Antiques, she is also responsible for one for the finest television comedies, Victoria Wood: With All The Trimmings, a Christmas TV special that devastatingly took apart media culture at the time, as much as any episode of Brass Eye but with a far larger audience.

The music world has lost another legend.
World renowned pop artist Prince has died at age 57. The singer was found dead at his estate in Paisley Park in Chanhassen, Minnesota Thursday, E! News has learned.
The Carver County Sheriffs Office told NBC police responded to a report of a fatality at the property.
Last weekend, Prince appeared at a Paisley Park dance party. Days earlier, he was hospitalized with the flu following an emergency plane landing in Moline, Illinois, TMZ and other outlets had reported. TMZ had also said the singer canceled two shows last week in Atlanta due to his illness. His reps have not commented. At the party, he reassured fans about his health status, saying, "Wait a few days before you waste any prayers," according to The New York Daily News.

Thoughts and prayers to Patton and friends/family...
I'm not sure why, but among the numerous tragedies of the week, this one hit me very hard. Doubtless, condolences to all of her friends and family.
I know what you are saying. Is it because Patton, King of the Nerds(apologies to Chris Hardwick, but he is too pretty to be our King), is one of us. Or because he seemingly was very happily married with a child. Or because she was so young. I think it's a combination. While our heroes pass, it hurts...but they aren't 'one of us' like I think a lot of us feel towards Patton Oswalt. Just a very sad story.
