Forever a fan favorite and, by all accounts a very nice man. Survived by his wife of 30 years, and two children.(condolences)

Frailty, the first movie he directed (and also acted in) is still one of the favorite movies. Insanely under the radar flick and so well acted.

A true superstar of opera of the lowest register...bass...that is... Kurt Moll took his final curtain Sunday... To think of the numerous recordings I had of him and his Wagner...yet no Wotan nor Hans Sachs to fully test the skill of the bass singer... To think Hans is a voice grinder in his own right...it would be the equivalent of singing two tenor performances of Tristan in a matin?e/night double header...

Always enjoyed his knowledge and insight into movies and productions as the lead-in to the TCM showings. His knowledge was thorough from the "Golden Age" of movies from the '30's, '40's and '50's to today. Really wonder if there will be a movie buff/historian to take his place ...
