[John “Hutch” Hutchinson, who collaborated with David Bowie for three separate stints in the '60s and '70s, died after a long illness, Bowie’s estate confirmed.

The guitarist appeared on the first demo of “Space Oddity" in 1969 and later became part of the Aladdin Sane tour, playing 12-string guitar across the U.S. in 1973.

RIP Charlie. Going to spend the rest of the day with your music, Aftermath may be a perfect album. Thanks for it all! Met this guy in Vegas years ago, he and his wife were shoe shopping at the same place I as shoe shopping. lols. He was just hugging the purse he was asked to hold up against the wall. Adorable. Said hi, he said hi back, we both smiled. End of story. =)
