How Will China’s “No Ghosts” Rule Affect ‘Crimson Peak’ and ‘Ghostbusters’?
http://collider.com/crimson-peak-ghostbusters-reboot-china-no-ghost-rule/

Today’s box office marketplace is all about the international take, especially from China. It’s why more movies are set in China and have stars that Chinese audiences like. But China also has stringent censorship laws, so where does that leave Hollywood, which wants to give filmmakers freedom to tell whatever stories they want, but still doesn’t want to hurt the bottom line?

This is the conflict facing Universal with Crimson Peak, a film that flopped stateside, but the studio was hoping could pull in international box office, similar to Guillermo del Toro’s previous film, Pacific Rim. However, as THR reports, China has a “no ghost rule” because “China’s official censorship guidelines prohibit films that ‘promote cults or superstition.’” Before you ridicule them, keep in mind that in the U.S. we stop teenagers from seeing movies if people say “F***” more than once.

Miss this show. I used to have this game on a very, very old computer when i was like 13 and played over and over

This amuses me even though I still have terrible flashbacks of the days when Linkin Park was all over the radio, lol. Maybe they can do One Step Closer next, Shut up when I am talking to you!!! rolleyes:

speaking of Linkin Park, did you ever see a band get more mileage out of remixing the same crap over and over again to the cost of their 'fans'?

Guess I am very in touch with my feminine side...

Or the Revenant just blows octopus nards.

Spike Lee, Jada Pinkett Smith boycott Oscars over lack of diversity

And who is Spike Lee again, remind me.
Also, besides his irrelevance, when you gripe about stuff long enough people stop listening. Lee has had 'sandy panties' since way back in the day when people used to pay to see his movies. Sure...he's right, but it hardly helps the cause when the person registering the complaint is a has been with a history of being a cranky bastard. And Jada Pinkett SMITH, is just upset because Will Smith getting a nomination would have helped her eventual divorce settlement. Chris Rock is hosting the Awards. If he were to walk out, that would be a complaint that people would hear. But, it would be career suicide...so, don't hold your breath.

A highlight is certainly when Jackson calls Smith out for trying to sidestep the fact that he turned down Django Unchained, with Smith then going on to explain in detail why he dropped out of starring in Quentin Tarantino’s blood-soaked Western after prolonged discussions with the filmmaker. Jackson also candidly discusses issues of violence and language in feature films, while Del Toro and Smith single out isntances of predjudice they’ve encountered over the years. And of course there’s Michael Caine, who offers up positively delightful anecdotes about his unfortunate encounters with Alfred Hitchcock and Marlon Brando.

Hate to say it, but i think Django would have been a better movie with Will Smith.
