It's not clear if the Party Party is anything more than an incredible pun (or an early April Fools' joke). Andrew W.K. never really offers a wink through the entire video — or anywhere on the site — and the voters he interviews sound like they're sincerely addressing real and serious concerns. But regardless, he makes at least one compelling argument: "Buried deep inside this mountain of overwhelming national anxieties, complex international dilemmas, and endlessly competing principals, there is a fundamental truth — that we are all in this together."
Andrew W.K. says the Party Party has already filed the "relevant paperwork with the Secretary Of State," but asks supporters to sign an online petition to officially "qualify" the Party Party as a "political party."
The Party Party is simple in its mission: To free the American people from the dysfunction that is our two party system. At best, bi-partisan politics has created an insurmountable divide that has separated the people into two categories of Democrat and Republican. The Party Party aims to provide an alternative to the divisive labeling of our current system. Most people have become too caught up in the bickering of our news cycles to realize that we ultimately desire the exact same things: reliable access to education, healthcare, and a sense of social equality. If enough people are willing to liberate themselves from choosing left or right, a third voice can emerge with a much more powerful message. A message that will open the eyes of our representatives and help them see that this “Us versus Them” mentality has kept our country from providing its people with a REAL sense of freedom. If we open our hearts and approach the problems we face with an open mind, real change can be achieved. We hope you will join us on this journey.

Ok. So, hot button topic here. Diversity. At what point do studios get to say to their detractors, 'look, we tried...but people don't want it'. Or, do they have to create programming that will not sell all in the interest of fairness? I am not making a statement here, just presenting a conversation.
i know...i know...no politics.

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the organization behind the Globes, has ruled today a change to guidelines, stating "dramas with comedic overtones should be entered as dramas."
Other changes include ruling that actors cannot be nominated for playing themselves in cameo roles, and that animated feature films need to be at least 75% animated.

Tom Hanks’ 10 Best Film Performances to Date

Always found it strange that, despite how effortlessly good Hanks is, he rarely gets mentioned in the 'best actors of our generation(s)' conversation. Kudos for this list recognizing Ladykillers(which really is underrated) and the 'Burbs. A little unusual that Forrest Gump is not on the list. Sure, you could lump it into the 'you never go full...' category, but I think it's a tremendously subtle performance that holds the whole movie together.
