Today I learned: It has been calculated that Rocky IV is 31.9% montages, nearly a third of the film. During the second half of the film, or the last 50 minutes, it is approximately 50% montage.
Holy cow! This was greenlit and stars Matthew McConaughey?
I thought seeing the lineup it was fake at firstSharon Osbourne announces Ozzy’s final show: ‘This is his full stop’ - BBC News
Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath are reuniting for one last time, to play a fund-raising concert in Birmingham on 5 July.
My additions a day later:St. Patrick day movies for the introverts who want to stay festitive
The Banshees of Inisherin (2022)
Have you ever had to tell a friend he's too toxic to hang out with and threaten to cut off a finger each time he breaks this boundary? Then throw those fingers at him?
The Commitments (1991):
Slackers on the dole, form a band, sing soul songs. The girl from Pulp Fiction who smokes a bowl while Uma Thurman gets stabbed in the heart is in it. Mustang Sally is an amazing song.
The Quiet Man (1952): John Wayne rides a horse in Ireland. The mom from the original Parent Trap gets sold to him for marriage by her father with some sexist trickery. The town treats the situation like they are TMZ and the couple is whoever is hot right now.
Wow! Never heard of most of those but love a good cry/laugh with gallows humor leanings. Will start slow but work my way through that list. Cheers mate. Sing Street is where I will start because it sounds like (sorry, sorry, sorry) Billy Elliot (which I know was an English coming of age story, noting the mutual hatred) and that had an awesome soundtrack. T-rex anyone? My additions a day later:
To stay festive:
Grabbers (2012)
Bloodsucking tentacle aliens vs. remote irish village townspeople with lots of irish humor tossed in
Sing Street (2016)
Teenage boy forms a band to impress a girl in 1980s dublin
Hardy Bucks (TV show 4 season - 2010 - 2018)
Follows somewhat lazy, often unemployed, and often drinking lads in Castletown. You'll laugh a lot, you'll cry, you'll drink.
To stay not so festive but historical:
Wind that Shakes the Barley (2006)
Two brothers join IRA during war of independence and ultimately find themselves on opposite sides during subsequent events/war. Cillian Murphy incredible.
Bloody Sunday (2002)
Fairly realistic portrayal of Bloody Sunday in Derry Jan. 30th, 1972.

Late entry: My former step-mom's favorite rom-com.
Leap Year (2010): Pretty redhead from Boston (amy adams)hunts down her fence-sitting boyfriend for that RANG in Ireland. Annoys a tall handsome stranger that tags along as a guide, he says ten words the whole movie, she realizes that she prefers the strong silent type. Hot take: She's right.

Awe. *laughing* Perfect. You know who would love this story: My former stepmom. lol.H
Ha I used the irish toast in Leap Year "may you never cheat, lie or steal" when I proposed to my wife (we saw it together).
Sing Street is great, easy to get invested in. all are good
