Wait 'til you hear about these newfangled carriages they got - horseless! I swears it! Don't need no horse - not a one! Just goes all by isself!! Wondrous times we're living in!

Clown. Yes, yes my lifestyle is not for everyone (or anyone, really) but it severely cuts my chances of being cyber-stalked, which is the leading cause of death* for women named: What party?*

*of course I'm kidding, sheesh.

Saw these guys at the Hollywood Palladium in the '80s when I was a youngun. They were absolutely outstanding live, I really wasn't expecting it. While my girlfriend and I were waiting in line, people were passing around a petition to save KMET and my girlfriend and I bought some oregano. We weren't necessarily trying to buy oregano, but that's what it ended up being.

One you lock the target
Two you bait the line
Three you slowly spread the net
And four you catch the Mitchrock!

Nice, buying fake weed is a right of passage and I bet the Kinks were amazing live. The Palladium has some good memories for me as well. Went to see either MXPX or NoFX circa 2003 and some "punks" got in a fight in the parking lot and ended up smashing my friend's car window.

Orpheeeee! Front 242! Is this the industrial thread??? I wanted to post something similar but lost my nerve (Revolting C*cks- Beers, Steers and...etc) due to the insensitive content. It was the wise choice

I know Al hates this period of music but this is a f***ing fantastic album... This song is amazing...

Of course, one of the original OG Goth tune... SofaKing good...

Speaking of amazing live...

Saw these guys in their next-to-last Halloween concert in '93. It was actually on October 31, it was outside, and there was a full moon. The atmosphere was absolutely electric from the start. The band was on and obviously having a blast and the crowd was going nuts. "Let's have a party there's a full moon in the sky" (Elfman points at full moon, crowd goes insane).

At the end of the show, management was trying to get the band to finish the show at the scheduled time and they refused to leave. The house lights were turned on, they kept playing. A man in a suit came out from back stage to talk to Danny Elfman. Elfman nodded at everything the guy said, and as soon as he turned and walked off stage, Danny said "**** it, we're gonna keep playing!" Already insane crowd turns it up a few more notches. They played another half an hour or so. They wouldn't let Oingo back into the venue for the final Halloween show in '94, so they played Universal. I was out of the country and didn't go to that one, but my bestie who went to both said the '94 show didn't even come close to the prior year. I can't imagine how it could have.

Damn man, that's awesome. I saw them at Oscar's in Santa Barbara back in 87. It was amazing. Saw RHCP the next day. I was pretty high, don't remember much from that show.
