For all the angst thats going on with this club and it immediate troubles, that was just a great cathartic experience. Watching this team outplay another team at their own game has been very very rare. Great night for Laf, great night for all Kings fans who wanted to be entertained. We now return to the regularly scheduled gloom and doom.

Has he ever NOT been a disaster on a 2-on-1?
Haha, he seems like a disaster more often than not. He didn't even make an attempt to put his shoulder down and drive the next. It was a 2-on-1 where he was clearly going to pass and the defense didn't have to make any effort covering a QB shot.

Maybe if he was elderly like Kopitar, it would make sense that the odds of driving the net are low. But QB is young, big, and fast. He should drive the goal sometimes.

Plays like that are exactly why Nyssa's use of FRUSTRATING is the perfect adjective. QB creates tons of chances with his skills but then squanders many of them with poor decision making.

That said, he had one of his better games in a while. He made some nice plays in addition to the frustrating ones.

Was great to finally be at a game where the Kings dominated and scored a few goals. Crowd was into it and we had a whole row of Ducks fans behind us that left around the start of the third.
The arena was like 30-40% empty at the end. It seemed on TV like a LOT of Ducks fans drove up to the game yesterday.

The problem I see is that he will try to drive the net but he tries it by splitting the D and that usually ends up with him losing the puck. Alternatively, when he goes wide he usually gets trapped on the boards and also ends up with him losing the puck. And, we all know what happens when he is leading on an out-numbered attack.
