GDT ***Boston Bruins vs. Los Angeles Kings GDT 11/21/25 7:30pm on FanDuel***

I'm happy we got a point. But with the amount of power play opportunities we had, this is a game we could have and should have won. That failed 5 on 3 is a perfect example of our power play ineptitude.

Year after year after year watching this power play struggle Is like slow torture. There's simply no excuse for it. Um, yeah genius, changes need to be made...starting with you and whoever is in charge of our power play.

As another poster here stated, we have a better chance scoring on the penalty kill than the power play. As hard as that is to believe, it's true.
At the very least, it is time to think about going back to a normal structure with defensemen present on the PP. Right now our PP is giving the opposing team more momentum than it is giving us.

Others have mentioned Kempe's placement, in terms of position, on the PP which should be addressed as well by adding at least 1 defenseman and letting him position himself more regularly in high scoring threat areas.

Moreso, I'd like to see Clarke become a permanent fixture on the PP and more frequent rotations between the PP1 and PP2 units, each of which could have a different scheme to keep the opposing team on their toes and determination of which unit starts the PP being based off success.

The 5x3 was indeed a perfect example of the inability of the Kings man advantage to actually create advantage. Predictably passing around the puck on perimeter until someone finally takes a goalie friendly 25ft shot.

The PK is good, but the rest of the Kings non 5x5 play is turrible, including OT and SO. They've lost 4 out of last 5 OTs. Try different personnel combos, use some kids, can't get much worse.

Hire me as pp coach. Put Perry in front the net and have everyone else constantly shoot the puck, have another dude hanging around the net for rebounds. Done

Jammer & I both busy today. I'll post winners later, unless someone else is feeling ambitious & does it first. Clif has joined me on the Mountaintop - that's all I know so far

Absolute train wreck - every time I looked up from whatever else I was doing besides watching the game the Bruins had a shorthanded chance 2 on 1 in the works, which ironically is how we got a goal.

Follow through

I have a feeling Byfield is getting a bit of a reputation in regards to fishing for penalties. Which on this team makes no sense.

I think someone said in this or last thread that we have the #1 most boring style of hockey in the league, and I mean that's been the case for years - but wow they are pushing it to the extreme this year. I feel like Hiller tries to drill them that this a 0-0 league and we'll win the cup with tie points.
