GDT ***Boston Bruins vs. Los Angeles Kings GDT 11/21/25 7:30pm on FanDuel***

Thank goodness the Kings are one of the best teams on the road(9-2-3) since they are a dismal 1-4-3 at home or they would be fighting for a wild card spot, even though they are around quarter mark of the season

Turcotte average approx 07:30 in ice time the last 4 games.

In these 4 games Kings have scored 1 goal on 14 powerplays (if I counted correctly).

We have scored a whooping 6 goals in total during these 4 last games.

Our last penalty shot shooters were Moore, Kempe and Perry…

And they are without close competition playing the most boring hockey you will see in the NHL…

Can the so called ”coach” Hiller, please just go away…

Another problem is the Kings were leading 70% to 30% on faceoffs until late in the 3rd and ended up 60-40. Game after game they lose faceoffs late when it really matters.

Well, I think the power play has struggled in general, so I’m not going to single one guy out, but I think the group of five of them clearly are not getting it done as constructed. We’ve talked about it a few times, so that’s something we’re thinking about and it doesn’t look good. It’s cost us games. So, when you get to that point, at some point, you might have to make some changes.
Might have to make some changes? Really? Our PP is absolute garbage.

Admitting that the poorly conceived PP units have cost the team games illustrates how insufficiently prepared this team is in general. This arrogant fool of a coach is never going to improve this team. Hiller peaked 2 years ago… his answers just create more questions.

Kings actually played great 5 on 5. Very good effort. The PP is a straight up disaster.

This is the type of loss that happens when your gameplan is dominate possession but do absolutely nothing risky to generate offense from the dangerous part of the offensive zone. Swayman was fine tonight but he didn’t exactly need to stand on his head to keep LA off the board. He just had to make save after save on low percentage shots against.

Was watching Zacha pretty closely and I think he’s a natural fit at 2C for the type of team Luc/Holland/Hiller want. Not the best player on his team. Not the most exciting player or dynamic but he’s very big and responsible and he’s got flashes of more.

I don’t know if there’s a trade fit but Zacha has got to be on top of the list for targets.

Yeah, boring pretty much sums up our style of play.

I remember the good old days when I used to drink beer during hockey games. Now to get through a Kings game I need multiple cups of coffee. I was yawning so often in my jaw started to hurt.

Why was Clarke so frikkin’ timid on the opening faceoff in OT? The puck was right there! Instead of fighting for the puck, he just handed possession to the Bruins. Kings never got possession back. More desperation, please!!!
Kempe did the same bs SJ….he lost the puck right away and the effort to recover was none….SJ had the puck for 3 minutes after that!

I'm happy we got a point. But with the amount of power play opportunities we had, this is a game we could have and should have won. That failed 5 on 3 is a perfect example of our power play ineptitude.

Year after year after year watching this power play struggle Is like slow torture. There's simply no excuse for it. Um, yeah genius, changes need to be made...starting with you and whoever is in charge of our power play.

As another poster here stated, we have a better chance scoring on the penalty kill than the power play. As hard as that is to believe, it's true.
