There’s your shakeup everyone. Doesn’t have to come just from canning the coach. This will be emotional for everyone. He’s been horrible but no one will good about this and I wouldn’t be surprised if the staff lay some of this on the team for their p*ss poor defense. Like when Lombardi told them they’re the reasons Murray was fired.

When the team scores 8 goals and loses, something is wrong.
I hate to be the "fire the coach" guy but I think the timing is right to bring in a new coach. Kings have some good talent on the ice, but it is just not being utilized efficiently.
The Murray/Sutter change did wonders for this team. There are some viable candidates available.

Exactly what this move is. Yes Cal has been playing poor but so has the D and this is a "hey you guys also are part of the reason hes gone" TMac needs to go if team doesnt turn it around in next couple of games. How can we get Trotz out here?

To me, it's not much of a surprise. It's not like they are hoping he will be claimed. They know he won't. Allows him to work on his game and we may end up with a little bit more cap space depending on who replaces him. Sending him down opens up $1.125 million.

Really feel for the guy. I know he gets the money and all that, but he seems like a really good guy and obviously has some real skill, but that being said, I totally get it. How could you not?

WEll Quick didn't fair any better than Cal against the Kracken. But Cal gets the boot. Real good decision making right there. TM should be the one fired. I would be calling Barry Trotz and if he would take the job. I would fire TM before i Even ended the call with Trotz.
