In another small world moment, the Vlasic kids mom is Mini Jammers French teacher. She's been so proud wearing his jersey to class since he's been called up. Big moment for the community here to have a local kid play for the hawks.

Generally love that we can all talk about California kids playing in the big leagues, not even a possibility when I was a kid. The expansion of hockey in the state through the Ducks and Kings is impressive

I know where you're coming from. Lived in Berdo, had son who wanted to play hockey like his dad, but no luck in Berdo, Moved back to Colo. Springs where he was able to play and my husband coached some teams back then. Uhh sidenote, husband was a damned Canadian so, of course lived a world of hockey for yrs
