THAT likely explains it, good thinking! Alas, would the Kings brass actually have the brass to trade him during this narrow window? I do not think so, probably under the assumption that he would refuse to report to some place like Ottawa, and the trade would ultimately get nixed or rescinded.

It all started with Taylor I think. Giving all these bloggers who have no journalistic reason to be there, and giving them press passes. At least Gann( Frozen Royalty) does fantastic interviews and does not offer speculation.

I think Russell just posted this as a question on twitter and was not throwing out a rumor. Just throwing out there as almost a joke. Those that know him know he was very high on Chychrun when he was available last time.
And I am not sure I agree they give out to many press passes. I follow this guy because he actually provides info from practices and the locker room that you do not get elsewhere.

When Dave Taylor was GM and I am thinking this is in the early part of the 2000's, he was really high on bringing more awareness to the Kings and utilizing the internet when social media did not really exist. So I give him credit where it is due and quite frankly ahead of the curve. The Mayor, Gann Matsuda, etc. The players did not like it, some still don't. Sutter definitley did not. Then again he was not a big fan of journalists that were not Canadian LOL.
